I purchased a box of Shangpree Marine Energy Eye Mask when I was in Korea late last year, after reading much rave reviews on them. Other than taking Beauty Food For Softer Skin and Brighter Eyes, eye patches can be a quick way to making your eyes look less tired instantly.
Hailing from Korea, Shangpree is a spa-based skincare brand and has received many awards through the years as reflected on their website. A portion of the proceeds from Shangpree sales is donated to Korea Green Foundation to assist climate change refugees.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
Each box contains a round container with 60 sheets ( 30 pairs ) of hydrogel-like eye masks stacked upon each other with an authenticity QR code on the packaging. You can also use a magnet to test it but there was no reaction when I placed a magnet close to it.
Peel off the authenticity sticker on the packaging and you can see a QR code which brings you to a website to acknowledge if the product is genuine.
The above image shot tells me that my product is genuine!
A spatula is provided in each box for one to pick up the green jelly-like eye masks for layering on the skin. Slimy and cold, Shangpree Marine Energy Eye Masks are really beautiful with glitter on them. However, due to the soft jelly texture, it also tears easily if your fingers accidentally scratched them.
It has a slight fragrance which lingers for a short while during masking before it dissipates. And if your eye masks happened to be one of those totally soaked in essence in the box, you may find the essence dribbling down your skin and eye masks sliding down your undereye area, ever so slightly and it can get pretty annoying after awhile.
Performance and Ingredients
Unlike other conventional eye masks, Shangpree Marine Energy Eye Mask can be used in a variety of ways, on the undereye area, along the laugh lines, round the neck and even inbetween the brows. Certainly multipurpose at its best!
Since my top concern has always been the undereye area, you can be sure that all 60 sheets are used there. HAHA!
Cold and refreshing, the Marine Energy Eye Mask provides a soothing and comforting sensation to the undereye area for a 20 minutes relaxing eye masking session. It remains cold even up to 1 hour due to the reason being the silky hydrogel material holds moisture and won't dry out.
You can try storing these in the fridge to take advantage of prime de-puffing action in the morning too.
I really enjoyed using Shangpree Marine Energy Eye Mask because of how comforting it is, for my tired eyes but unfortunately, I failed to see any astounding results from it.

Conclusion
To conclude, considering the ingredients, Shangpree Marine Energy Eye Mask may be a great mask for daily maintenance or those with minor undereye issues, however for my perpetually dry undereye area filled with fine lines and eye bags, Shangpree Marine Energy Eye Mask doesn't make the cut.
