Packaging, Scent and Texture
Leahani Skincare Mermaid Mask is housed in a round clear container as shown above. The product description is printed on small card, tied to the container with a elastic band which is easily removable. I adored the scent which has the sweetness of honey mixed with essential oils. It really lifts up my mood and I look forward to using it twice a week.
The dark green moss-like colour can be a tad scary to family members though, but its not a major issue once they are used to it. The colour actually comes from organic chlorella and spirulina which are 2 key ingredients in the mask.
That said, the texture can be slightly tricky initially. It appears to be hardened when I first receive the product but once you stirred it with a spatula ( or fingers, if you don't mind ), it softens and is easier to apply on face.
The mask warms up, once on contact with skin and is runny during application. The recommended time frame is 5 - 15 minutes but I can never go past the 10 minute mark as the contents are runny in texture and tends to "tickle" my nose as it drips slightly. I just have the tendency to wash it off asap.
Performance
While I adored the scent and used it twice a week, the texture is something I didn't quite grasp. I tried in a variety of ways but it is still difficult to get the ratio of water to mask correctly. Even after depleting the mask, I still do not know where I have gone wrong. The mask never dries so you don't even have to wait for it. It is easy to rinse off though.
1) Applied mask on wet skin : The mask would become too runny and dripped slightly.
2) Mist on face, before mask application : Mask is dry and difficult to glide on skin. After masking, my skin looked splotchy red though there is no itch.
3) Splash water on face, before mask application : Mask would be runny, drippy and tickling.
During the first usage, the area where the broken capillaries on my nose were, turned warm and red but it subsided after awhile. Subsequent usages were better and performance of mask on skin was pretty good.
After every 5 - 10 minutes masking session, my skin always looked clean, clear and fresh. It is instantly brighter, smoother and glowing.

ORGANIC HAWAIIAN RAW HONEY : naturally antiseptic and antimicrobial, where it cleanses the skin and dissolves bacteria. Once mixed with water, honey will release a peroxide property which helps to heal acne and impede bacterial growth. Raw honey contains mild alpha hydroxy acids that help to brighten the complexion and even the skin tone- helping to diminish scarring and age spots. Honey is a humectant, drawing moisture to the skin.
ORGANIC HAWAIIAN SPIRULINA : a nutrient dense super-food, full of proteins and amino acids. Contains most of all known antioxidants. Helps with premature aging, acne, redness, uneven skin tone and dryness.
ORGANIC PREMIUM CHLORELLA : world's best known superfood. Also called "the perfect food" because of its well-balanced ratios of proteins, nutrients, vitamins and minerals. Has high levels of skin loving vitamins A and C, and will purify and deeply cleanse and renew the skin with each use.

Conclusion
To conclude, Leahani Skincare Mermaid Mask is a great mask, for instant brightening and glowing effect, with superior ingredients. However, unfortunately, because of the tricky mask application, I am hesitant to re-purchase the product but would definitely look forward to other masks from Leahlani.
