I redeemed a 10ml size of Naruko Jing Cheng Gold OPTimum Brightening Complex from Naruko some months back ( because of my expiring points ) which comes in a handy tube form. Formulated without parabens and sulphates, the brightening complex is a product which combines both anti-aging and brightening benefits in one. Suitable for any busy bee.

I started off with using the brightening complex as a whitening spot corrector, with the aim of lightening the slight pigmentation on both cheeks. The slim tube makes handling a very simple affair, with light depression to get the lightweight gel-cream contents out.

As shown on the picture above, there are little specks of gold dust on it, seemingly there to brighten up the skin. It didn't show up on skin though, I could not see it with the naked eye, after application. But to be honest, I did not see a difference to my skin tone after application too. I was expecting some brightening effect or a soft glow, at least, but no, there just isn't.

The first thing that hits me, is the fragrance. It is very strong. And it smells like soap, the kind that one uses in the shower. And look at the ingredient list, it is super long. I really don't fancy applying something that has such a long list of ingredients and which smells like soap on my face.

But still, 10ml is a small one. I can easily used it up within the 6 months as recommended ( shown with a tiny cap on the packaging ) but that is, only if I used it every day, which unfortunately, I didn't, mainly because of the strong soapy fragrance. I finally used it up in 7 months.

As a spot corrector, there isn't any wonder or miracle. I did not see any difference to the spots on my cheeks. As a face moisturiser, Naruko Jing Cheng Gold OPTimum Brightening Complex made my skin feel smooth and nourished. The texture is pretty lightweight and gets absorbed well into my skin. I just did not see any spectacular difference to my skin tone.
