Trip to Tasmania/Melbourne + My Awesome Purchases

Hobart in a nutshell

I visited Hobart and Launceston, Tasmania for 9 days and ended the trip with another 2 days in Melbourne. I have always been a nomadic creature at heart and yearn to visit as many countries as I can and while I can. Occasionally I like to explore countries that are under the radar and Tasmania comes to my mind this round but I was not expecting how quiet it was, compared to Sydney and Melbourne.

Launceston in a nutshell

Hobart and Launceston are small towns that get pretty quiet at night and you don't see many Asians around, unlike in Sydney and Melbourne. I would peg the trip as one with a rest and relax itinerary. I could have packed more into our itinerary like including stopovers at Ross and Richmond but I thought it would be too rushed. Food was fantastic though and the people are so welcoming, friendly and serve with a zest you would not have seen in Singapore.

Unfortunately, due to the snow, our day trip to the Cradle Mountain was cancelled ( no access to area ) and replaced with Liffey Falls and Mole Creeks Caves. Wineglass Bay was also out of the list as the timing clashed so it was unfortunate that we missed out on 2 of the most popular places in Tasmania. It would be perfect if everything went according to plan, but well, sometimes, things happen for a reason and we would just appreciate what comes our way and indulge in that moment.

Nonetheless, we made day trips out to Bruny Island, Mount Wellington, Liffey Falls and Cataract Gorge so not all is lost.
