Review : My Beauty Diary Black Pearl Brightening Mask

My Beauty Diary Black Pearl Mask has gone through a few rounds of "improvements" with the current version as the 3rd update, with a new name - My Beauty Diary Black Pearl Brightening Mask. I have used the first version way back in 2010 - My Beauty Diary Black Pearl Sheet Mask, followed by another version in 2015 - My Beauty Diary Black Pearl Mask and each time, the results were not as impressive as the first one while the ingredient list gets longer. 

The original Black Pearl Sheet Mask has been my favourite among all My Beauty Diary series but unfortunately, I can't say the same, since they changed their formula. Why fix something when it isn't broken? The same goes for a few other popular brands which I used to love. 

Heavily soaked in essence, the sheet mask has a thin and sheer material, with a cutting that fits well for my face shape and still retains my favourite yummy bubble milk tea fragrance. I used up all 8 sheets in both Tasmania and Singapore and all works well to hydrate my skin and is very moisturising. Glad that the result for this updated version is on par with the previous one used in 2015, though not necessarily as good as the original version.

I have yet to see any whitening benefits or any dead cells removal but I would recommend My Beauty Diary Black Pearl Brightening Mask for hydrating purposes which is good during travelling.
