One Thing Bifida Ferment Lysate Review

Product Description
One Thing Bifida Ferment Lysate is a probiotic-rich toner and essence that helps to boost skin immunity and rejuvenate skin. It is infused with bifida ferment lysate, an ingredient capable of replenishing skin moisture, boosting skin’s resilience against external aggressors and promoting skin cell turnover for plump and healthy skin. The lightweight and quick-absorbent formula leaves a refreshing finish.

After hearing so much about One Thing on Instagram, I finally caved in and purchased a bottle on Yesstyle. I love their short ingredient list. Unfortunately, the product is no longer available at time of writing.

Korean skin care brand ONE THING simplifies its product formulations by finding that “one thing” – the one ingredient skin needs. It values transparency and promotes rational consumption, eliminating all unnecessary costs to focus on the safety and efficacy of its 100% Korean-made products. Bestsellers include the Centella Asiatica Extract Toner, Houttuynia Cordata Extract Toner and Niacinamide 10% Toner.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

One Thing Bifida Ferment Lysate is paraben-free, colour-free, alcohol-free and fragrance-free. It has a sleek minimalistic vibe, housed in a 150ml slim clear bottle that looked so pretty on the table.

One Thing Bifida Ferment Lysate Texture

It has no fragrance but has a typical fermented sour scent. Runny like water, it is lightweight and sinks into skin fast.

Performance and Ingredients

One Thing Bifida Ferment Lysate Essence Review

Vegan and cruelty-free, The One Thing Bifida Ferment Lysate is a toner/essence that is formulated with 96% of the fermented extract, Bifida Ferment Lysate which is rich in proteins, lactose, lactic acid and vitamins to rejuvenate the skin. It strengthens damaged skin barrier, nourishes dull skin and adds a boost of hydration. It helps remove dead skin buildup and leaves skin looking brighter. A mildly acidic ingredient, it also helps maintain the skin's natural pH levels.

I have a soft spot for products with fermented ingredients in these recent years as they generally worked pretty well on me, such as E Nature Rice Essential Tone-Starter which was why I purchased this toner/essence.

I like the short ingredient list, the watery texture and the versatility. I can use it as a mist toner, a lotion pack, or just simply patting it into skin with my palms. Adding on, it can be added to my current skincare products or just mixing it with other One Thing extracts.

My common usage is to use it as a mist toner and patting it into skin with my palms. Using it as a lotion pack felt pretty wasteful, as the 150ml is pretty tiny for a toner/essence product.

My skin looked clear and healthy with consistent usage.

The key ingredient is...

Bifida : Bifida is made from the fermented bifidobacterium which is bacteria that is good for the body. It is rich in proteins, lactose, lactic acid and vitamins that help improve skin, add hydration,

Bifida Ferment Lysate, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethylhexylglycerin

Conclusion

To conclude, One Thing Bifida Ferment Lysate made my skin looked clear and healthy with consistent use.

It has a watery texture which is easy to incorporate with other skincare products in my routine and is versatile enough to be used as a mist toner, a lotion pack, patting into skin, added to current products or just mixing it with other One Thing extracts. Adding on, the short ingredient list meant less possibility of irritation.

Definitely keen to try other products from the brand.
