I received a sample size of the Grown Alchemist Polishing Facial Exfoliant ( Pink Grapefruit and Glucomannan Extract ) from the promoter in Melbourne when I was getting the cleansers. The sample size enabled me to use it for about 5 times, which lasted me for about 2.5 weeks, with twice weekly usage.
Looking at the name itself, I would not have think that this is a gentle exfoliant but in reality, it is. The creamy scrub with very tiny exfoliating beads are so gentle and mild that the polishing effect is almost non-existent yet it does provide a subtle smooth skin after treatment. Simply perfect for sensitive skin which gets red easily.
The plant based scent is very soothing to the senses and makes the exfoliating process an enjoyable experience. However, I would prefer something stronger to get that super smooth skin touch.
In terms of ingredients, I like that the first ingredient is Aloe Vera and not simply Aqua. Aloe Vera and Camellia Seed Oil ( 3rd ingredient ) are emollients, which help to condition and moisturise skin.
Benzyl Alcohol, found in the middle of the list, is a preservative which may be a cause for concern for some users as being an irritant.
There are also a number of fragrances found at the bottom of the list, such as Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens (Rose Geranium) Flower Oil, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Linalool and Limonene which may be a cause for concern as skin irritants.
