Facial mists and I are good friends because I simply adore using them, as a toner, as a perk-me-up or just to "clean" up the oil on my skin when I am lounging at home. I don't use it over make-up or over the course of the day so I can't attest to its performance on make-up.
Bright orange in colour, the aerosol bottle looks so cheerful on the vanity table and "screams" for you to use it, every morning. It is hard to forget about using it when its so bright as compared to it being black or brown. Just saying. :)
The packaging is well made, sturdy and makes it unbreakable and un-leakable. The nozzle is perfect for that very fine mist without the messiness of being too-wet on the skin. I enjoyed using My Payot Brume Eclat Anti-Pollution Revivifying Mist prior to serum oil or facial oil application since they typically absorbed better on damp skin.
At 125ml, the Revivifying Mist lasts me for about 3 months with daily usage, which was surprising, considering that I do spray alot each time. This light and airy water mist is cooling and refreshing and with the inclusion of superfruit and hydrating ingredients, it makes a good daily mist for everyone.
In terms of ingredients, Sodium Hyaluronate and Euterpe Oleracea fruit extract are found in the middle of the list while Phenoxyethanol is the 4th ingredient and Perfume is the 8th ingredient in the list.
Sodium Hyaluronate : has a smaller molecular size as Hyaluronic Acid ( hence, more penetrative ) and is able to hold up to 1000 times its weight in water. When applied topically to skin, it can reach deep down into the dermis to combine with, maintain and attract water, promotes skin microcirculation and nutrient absorption. With its super sized hydrating properties, Sodium Hyaluronate will result in smoother, softer skin with decreased wrinkles and an all round fuller appearance.
Euterpe Oleracea fruit extract : also known as Acai, it is a potent source of antioxidants which include ferulic acid and epicatechin. According to in vitro research, acai has higher antioxidant content than cranberry, raspberry, blackberry, strawberry and blueberry.
Phenoxyethanol is the 4th ingredient, a preservative with a moderate hazard of 4 on EWG where irritation is a potential concern and Perfume is the 8th ingredient which does nothing for the skin except for a feel-good effect.
