This product was on my "to-try" list for awhile and I managed to snag a complimentary sample during one of my Lovelula purchases sometime back. At times like this, am I so glad that I did not sink in my money to get the full size because it costs $85 in Tangs Singapore and it just does not suit sensitive skin. Period.

Recently I have been looking for radiance-boosting products because despite my diligent exfoliation and masking, I still find my skin looking pretty dull even though I have colleagues liking my skin. Mostly, ladies tend to use make-up to get that radiant look, with shimmers, illuminators, highlighters, etc. But in my blog, I mainly look for good skincare that serve my needs because I really believe that when you have good skin, anything else is secondary. Its a tough search for that "lit-within" look.

This renewal mask has been making waves because it is just supposed to be that good. It transformed skin and supposingly made them look brighter, clearer and glowing. Unfortunately, not for me. And if you have sensitive skin, I urge you not to try, and especially not on freshly exfoliated skin. This mask feels and acts like a face peel but if you are actually fine with the stinging that comes with it and probably is expected, then go ahead to try it.

Formulated without parabens, sulfates synthetic dyes, petrochemicals and phtalates, this radiance renewal mask is said to clarify the skin's appearance with its 4 fruit acid complex - lactic, glycolic, tartaric and citric and papain enzyme helps to create a gentle yet potent exfoliating action that leaves skin glowing and healthy.

With a gel sticky-like texture and a fresh citrus scent, this product feels like a mask when you apply on your face but if you massage it slowly, you can feel slight little beads that feels like exfoliation on the skin. It feels stickier as you left it on the skin and requires slightly more effort to rinse it off or perhaps easier if you use a muslin cloth. The mask left my skin feeling slightly red on the first usage and stings slightly and feels itchy on my third usage. Needless to say, it stings on freshly exfoliated skin.

It depends largely on my skin condition - whether it made my skin turn red, made it itchy or stings. But on most days, it stings. For some people, it is expected to sting since it is, in certain ways, acts like an AHA peel. My skin feels slightly softer after each treatment but not the type of glowing condition that I am expecting. But the cons of using the mask is off-putting and not something I would subject my skin to. I am currently using it as a hand mask instead.

In terms of ingredients, you may want to know that it contains several fragrant irritants from the bergamot water base to several irritating citrus oils, highlighted by Paula.
The product scored 4.1 from 166 users on Makeupalley.
