Review : Baviphat Miracle Snail Cure Hydro Gel Mask

Product Description
High moisturising and low irritating hydro gel type mask that contains the snail slime leeched substances ( 45%) which recovers the stability of your unbalanced troubled skin due to stress.

I was surprised to see this brand in Watsons since there is no Baviphat store in Singapore. At just $2 each , I thought it was quite a steal. I have seen it selling for $9.60 in online shops. *Gasps*
The snail extract craze have been hot since a year ago and I never really thought of trying it since the thought of it sounds creepy and gross.

According to CNNgo and NZHerald, snail extract reportedly "soothes, regenerates and heals skin,” says Jeong Chang-hyun, deputy head of product planning for cosmetics company 'Able C&C.'
which owns beauty brand 'Missha'.
The active ingredients found in snail extract is rich in glycolic acid and elastin which have been known to slow premature aging by protecting the skin.

I purchased 2 sheets and used it on 2 consecutive days recently. It seemed like I am much fated with using hydrogel sheet masks recently because this is yet another one.
The sheet mask comes in 2 parts, one for the upper area and one for the lower area for the face. The texture is glooey and jelly-like, very slippery and it crumbles easily.
My fingernails isn't long in the first place, but once it pricked thru, the material crumbles.

It feels cooling on the skin and the first mask actually gave me some itch on small areas of the face during the process and after removing the mask.
The second mask was pretty alright, no itch. The skin feels slightly moisturised but nothing spectacular.
