Review : Rachel K Radiance Illuminator Hydrogel Mask

Product Description
Delivers 11-18% more moisture than traditional skincare sheet masks. Made with Stem Cells extracted from the lotus flower, it promotes the division of skin cells, enhancing the skin’s intrinsic ability to renew itself. Its gel-like texture contours to your face leaving it soft and hydrated, while refining fine lines and wrinkles. For normal, oily, or acne-prone skin, its natural extracts clear out pores without irritation, while its hydrating ingredients deliver oil-free moisturizing and radiance

I redeemed this sheet mask from their facebook page some time back. It was a new product that was being launched. Her CC cream is a good one though the shade does not suit me, hence I was keen to try her very first mask.

The packaging, as you can see from the picture above, is large, way larger than other masks in the market. Certainly stood out, from the rest. The fonts are big, especially the brand.

Personally, I don't like gel masks, either for the eyes or face. The results just do not deliver. Therefore, I was skeptical when I pulled it out from the packaging. The sheet mask is jelly-like and glooey-like, very slimy and slippery. It also tears easily. Its not wet, just slightly moist. I had difficulty just grabbing the mask to layer on the face, trying to prevent it from slipping and tearing.
It comes in 2 portions - one for the upper area of the face and one for the lower area of the face.

There were some minor tears though, but the mask is still large enough for my face. The cut-out holes for the eyes and lips were quite tiny and required some adjusting. The nose flap is slightly large but it did not irritate my nostrils unlike other cloth masks.

Despite the texture of the mask, the mask feels quite cooling, comfortable and relaxing on the skin. Once removed, I was surprised that the roughness on my nose (due to dehydration) was slightly subsided. My face looked much rested. It looked calmed and soothed.
