Review : Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray

Product Description
Water your skin. Take along a refreshing face spray for showers of thirsty skin relief. Bursting with moisture and active aloe. But not a drop of oil. Rapidly replenishes skin's moisture level, restoring balance. Softens and soothes in a flash.

My recent Hong Kong trip had me picking off some travel-size friendly products from their Sasa and Bonjour stores. This product was one of them. I actually bought one larger size during my USA work trip early last year but it was thrown away, due to the < 100ml rule.

I don't use many of their products as I am not a fan of Clinique. Only their Moisture Surge range appeals to me. This moisturising facial treatment in liquid spray form is a handy and portable friendly size for travelling. Their spray mist design gives off an even burst of mist to the skin, leaving the skin feeling fresh and cool.

While I like the burst of hydrating mist on my dehydrated skin, the hydration does not last for more than 30minutes. My skin have been behaving well recently so this was just a minor hiccup for me as I use it as a refreshing mist. However, if I do really need to depend on it when my skin is sensitive, irritated and dehydrated, this comes across as too mild and too gentle. I found it to be useless during that difficult phase of mine and I found myself reaching for my Avene Thermal Spray which does a more wonderful and effective job than this spray.

Nonetheless, everyone's skin is different. It scored a happy 4.1 from 108 reviewers on Makeupalley though.
