[ Review ] : Phutawan Coconut Salt Scrub

Phutawan Coconut Salt Scrub is made from coconut oil blended with fresh lime, a perfect fresh fragrance and mixture to refresh and ease fatigue. Crystal grain salt and sugar help extract impurities with their antiseptic qualities leaving skin smooth and rejuvenated. Great for elbows, knees and hips as well.

I purchased Phutawan Lemongrass Body Scrub and Phutawan Coconut Salt Scrub from Bangkok in late December last year. I just finished my stash of body scrubs so it was apt for me to pick up some from Thailand, that has a huge spa industry.

Packaging, Scent and Texture

Made in Thailand, Phutawan Coconut Salt Scrub does not contain parabens, petrochemicals, mineral oil, silicones and SLS/SLES.

The lumpy formula provides a gentle scrub but left a slight drying after-feel. It has a refreshing scent of coconut oil combined with the aroma of Lime Oil.

Performance and Ingredients

I was alittle disappointed that Phutawan Coconut Salt Scrub turns out to be slightly drying as I have a positive experience with Phutawan Lemongrass Body Scrub which is cheaper. Considering the price and the packaging, Phutawan Coconut Salt Scrub seems to give off a higher tier vibe as compared to the Lemongrass Body Scrub so I expected it to be a better experience and more moisturising but unfortunately, it was not to be.

The formula contains sea salt and sugar crystal beads to help shed dry and cracked skin, restores smoothness and clarity and making skin soft to the touch.

Indeed, the Coconut Salt Scrub does left my skin feel slightly smoother but most body scrubs can do the job well, without making the skin drying, hence this won't be a repurchase for me.

Conclusion

To conclude, Phutawan Coconut Salt Scrub has an uncommon fragrance which may not sit well with everyone and the lumpy formula has a slight drying after-feel which would not be suitable for those with very dry skin.

Phutawan Lemongrass Body Scrub comes in a round clear plastic tub that has a simple and fuss-free vibe to it. The creamy texture with a lemongrass scent is relaxing and reminds one being in a spa.

Performance and Ingredients

Creamy in texture, Phutawan Lemongrass Body Scrub glides on the skin easily, without any greasiness or drying after-feel. It doesn't feel abrasive too.

My skin felt slightly smoother but the WOW effect just isn't there. However, I do like the scent as it makes me more inclined to use it.

Conclusion
