Review for EssentiQ Fruity Melissa Shower Gel
Product Description
A refreshing shower gel with natural extracts of fennel, hops, lemon balm, thousand-leaf, and camomile flower that has a calming effect on the skin and prevents its irritation. Lavender and rosemary oils clean the skin while petitgrain oil leaves a feeling of freshness. Organic aloe vera prevents skin inflammation and nourishes the skin with various nutrients, such as minerals, vitamins, proteins and enzymes.

Key Benefits
More than 95% of the total ingredients are of natural origin; At least 10% of the total ingredients comes from organic farming.
Free from formaldehydes, paraffins, propylene glycol, silicon or chlorine derivates, parabens, PEG, synthetic colouring agents, GMOs.

I purchased the 300ml sized EssentiQ Fruity Melissa Shower Gel from Naturelova when there was promotion and coupled with free shipping, it was a breeze ordering from them.

I have previously reviewed EssentiQ Calendula Grapefruit Shower Gel and EssentiQ Aloe Vera Berries 2 in 1 Shower Gel and Shampoo where they worked great on my skin, however, a repeat purchase of the Calendula Grapefruit Shower Gel was no longer a great fit, probably due to my drying aging skin.

I was hoping that EssentiQ Fruity Melissa Shower Gel would work great as the price point is friendly on the pocket but unfortunately, the shower gel was drying since Day 1.

It comes in a chirpy and cheerful opaque plastic bottle with a flick top cap. The light orange gel has a light fruity scent and provides just enough suds for lathering. However, it was pretty drying - the squeaky clean type of drying feel.

I would not repurchase it after depleting the bottle.

Review : Essentiq Herbal Shampoo ( Aloe Vera & Wheat Protein )

Review on Essentiq Herbal Shampoo ( Aloe Vera & Wheat Protein )
Product Description
Gentle, natural organic shampoo. Extracts from linden, organic aloe vera gel, essential oil from lavender, grapefruit and rosemary, wheat protein, amaranth proteins and plant emollients nourish the hair and scalp. Leaves your hair shiny and airy.

I purchased Essentiq Herbal Shampoo ( Aloe Vera and Wheat Protein ) quite some time ago, but because it wasn't working as well as I thought it would, I kept it aside and only brought it out for use recently again. Being someone who don't waste products, it was important for me to finish it and provide a review, before moving on to the next shampoo.

Shampoo containing wheat protein tends to perform poorly on my hair structure, making it clumpy and dry like straw. Made in Slovenia, Essentiq Herbal Shampoo wasn't too bad after I took it out for the 2nd trial, although if given a choice, I may not get this again.

I can still wash my hair, but I do feel the "clumpy" hair experience while rinsing the shampoo off. The shampoo suds are moderate and while it cleanses well, it made my hair slightly drier and I do not really enjoy the clumpy nature of my hair during the rinsing. It smells good, with a mixture of lavender, grapefruit and rosemary scents.

Once my hair is air-dry, my hair is back to its normal state but a conditioner is necessary to make my hair shaft softer and manageable.

In terms of ingredients, more than 95% of the total ingredients are of natural origin where at least 10% of the total ingredients comes from organic farming. The product does not contain parabens, phenoxyethanol, sources of formaldehyde, paraffin, propylene glycol, silicon or chlorine derivates, sulfates (SLS or SLES), PEG and EO, synthetic colors, gluten, GMOs. Packaging is recyclable.

Review : EssentiQ Shower Gel & Shampoo 2 in 1 Aloe Vera & Berries ( For Kids )

EssentiQ Shower Gel & Shampoo 2 in 1 Aloe Vera & Berries ( For Kids ) Review
Product Description
Organic aloe vera gel, extracts from goji berry and bilberry, amaranth proteins, plant emollients and mild surfactants derived from plants, are carefully selected ingredients that nourish and hydrate the skin and scalp of your little ones. Suitable for children from one year of age.

Made in Slovenia, EssentiQ Shower Gel and Shampoo 2 in 1 with Aloe Vera and Berries ( For Kids ) is free from formaldehydes, paraffins, propylene glycol, silicon or chlorine derivates, parabens, PEG, synthetic colouring agents and GMOs. They are formulated for kids and can be used as a shampoo or shower gel, depending on your preference. 250ml is not large, so if you use it as a 2 in 1, the contents are going to be depleted at an even faster rate.

Despite knowing this shower gel cum shampoo is for kids, I still purchase one from Naturelova for my own use, because the flavour of Aloe Vera and Berries sounded appealing to me. I only use it as a shower gel because I think the product may be too mild for my long tresses, filled with grime and leave-on conditioner.

As a shower gel, EssentiQ Shower Gel and Shampoo with Aloe Vera and Berries smells very yummy like berries. With moderate suds, the shower gel provides a good lathering experience without any greasiness or tightness.

In terms of ingredients, more than 98.1% of the total ingredients are of natural origin. The remaining 1-2% include preservatives, sometimes perfumes and surface active agents, such as emulsifiers, cleaners and foaming agents. They are used in extremely small quantities in order to achieve better cleansing effects and to protect our products from intrusion by bacteria, microbes and fungi.
