I purchased the Moon Haven Vanilla Lip Balm during my Perth trip and was initially drawn to its simple ingredient list and light vanilla scent. Like most lip balms, it comes in an easy twist-up tube for convenient application.

The formula feels lightweight on the lips and gives a subtle glossy finish that helps lips look smoother and healthier without feeling overly sticky.

On first application, the lip balm provides comfortable hydration and a natural sheen, making it suitable for everyday wear or minimal makeup looks. However, after repeated reapplication throughout the day, it tends to leave behind a noticeable white layer on the lips, which can make dry patches appear more obvious. Because of this, the lip balm performs best during the initial application but may not be ideal for frequent layering over several hours.

One downside is that the clear outer cover that holds the lip balm in its shape makes it hard to gauge how much product is left. The lip balm still looks ‘full’ from the outside, so I only realized it was nearly empty when very little product remained.

Overall, Moon Haven Vanilla Lip Balm is a decent natural lip balm for those who prefer simple ingredients and a lightweight glossy finish. The light vanilla scent and healthy-looking shine make it enjoyable for quick hydration and daily touch-ups. However, the formula may not suit users who frequently reapply lip balm throughout the day, as it can leave a white residue on the lips over time. While it performs well on the first application, its long-term wear experience could be improved for better everyday usability.
