Product Description
Three Balancing Cleansing Oil cleanses while retaining moisture for fresh and smooth skin. This cleansing oil contains several types of plant oils, including tea seed oil, and orange peel oil, which has oil-cleaning properties. It removes not only makeup, but also sunscreen, excess sebum, pollutants in the air and various other contaminants.
I purchased a 30ml of Three Balancing Cleansing Oil from a Luxasia warehouse sale recently, as the full sizes were sold out. My last experiences with Three Aiming Cleansing Balm, Three Aiming Lotion, Three Aiming Emulsion and Three Aiming Cream were great and I looked forward to purchasing other products from the brand again.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
Three Balancing Cleansing Oil is housed in a sturdy glass container with a lovely calming herbal scent. The oil texture with a medium consistency rinses off easily but stings the eyes.
How To Use :
1) On first use, press the pump several times until the contents are discharged.
2) Pump 3-4 times onto dry hands, and apply on 5 places: chin, cheeks, nose, and forehead. Cover the nose with both hands and spread the oil in a circular motion from the centre of your face outwards while enjoying the scent.
3) Rinse thoroughly with cool or lukewarm water.
4) Then, wash your face with facial wash.
Performance and Ingredients
What truly distinguishes Three from other products is its unparalleled sensorial experience, and the Three Balancing Cleansing Oil is no exception. Its soothing herbal scent provides a calming ritual, making it the perfect way to unwind after a long, tiring workday.
The cleansing oil emulsifies to a milky texture, cleanses off my simple makeup and sunscreen without leaving any oily film. My skin feels so soft and smooth but has a subtle taut sensation after rinsing off. However, unfortunately, it stings the eyes and does not remove eye makeup easily.
Do note that the travel sized cleansing oil which I purchased does not have the ingredient list so I copied the full ingredient list from Sephora website.
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Peg-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, Peg-12 Isostearate, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Dipentaerythrityl Tri-Polyhydroxystearate, Pentylene Glycol, Boswellia Carterii Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Water (Aqua), Camellia Sinensis Seed Oil, Citrus Aurantium Amara (Bitter Orange) Leaf/Twig Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Isostearic Acid, Origanum Majorana Leaf Oil, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Tocopherol, Borago Officinalis Seed Oil, Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil, Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Daucus Carota Sativa (Carrot) Root Extract, Arctium Lappa Root Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Rehmannia Glutinosa Root Extract, Poria Cocos Extract, Crocus Sativus Flower Extract
Conclusion
To conclude, while I appreciated the calming herbal scent of the Three Balancing Cleansing Oil and loved how it left my skin feeling soft and smooth, I found a few drawbacks. It left a slight taut sensation on my skin, struggled to effectively remove eye makeup, and caused a subtle sting, which tempered my overall experience.
