Biotherm Aquasource Gel is an ultra-hydrating cream with long-lasting hydration up to 48h. It revitalizes the skin and creates a protective barrier on the skin. Recommended for normal to combination skin.
For years, I was a big fan of Biotherm products, especially their moisturizers. However, they frequently reformulate their products, so I'm constantly having to search for a new favorite moisturizer and it gets tiring.
It has been 5 years since I last used a Biotherm product and I purchased Biotherm Aquasource Gel when I was trying to meet the free shipping requirement at BeautyFresh.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
Biotherm Aquasource Gel is a 50ml product with a melting gel texture and a cooling and refreshing sensation. It has its signature fresh lingering Biotherm fragrance which can be overwhelming for some. There is a subtle tackiness that never goes away.
How To Use :
Apply Biotherm Aquasource Gel to the face and massage gently until completely absorbed.
Performance and Ingredients
Infused with a legendary ingredient discovered in the French Pyrenees source : Aura Leaf , a medical plant with miraculous properties. Day after day, it replenishes skin's natural moisture reserves, gorging skin with moisture to restore its natural ability to glow.
Biotherm moisturisers used to work pretty well on my combination skin but it doesn't seem to work well on my aging skin now. The hydration is insufficient for my combination skin with surface dehydration. My skin looked shiny and felt rough on the nose.
The 3rd ingredient is alcohol which isn't ideal for the skin in the long term.
Conclusion
To conclude, Biotherm Aquasource Gel isn't the perfect fit for my skin type. The hydration is insufficient for my combination skin with surface dehydration. My skin looked shiny and felt rough on the nose.
I enjoyed using my last moisturiser, Dr.Althea 345 Relief Cream than this.
