Carribean Spectrum Of The Seas (October 2023)

Onboard a 4D3N Carribean Spectrum Of The Seas back in October 2023. We were provided an option to put in a bid to upgrade our room and I bidded S$40 per guest ( total S$80 ) which was successful!

We upgraded from Ocean View to Ocean View Balcony and it was an absolute steal.

Endless delicious dishes and incredible performances.

Food were great and performances were world-class. We enjoyed the cruise except that it was pretty crowded despite being in October. Imagine if its June or December?
I brought my gym gear but I didn't even step into the gym. HAHA.

Windjammer ( buffet-style ) was pretty crowded on most days so thank goodness for Main Dining Room where it feels more like a proper restaurant with table and seat allocated for you. You can order multiple times but I don't, since I don't like to waste food and my stomach cannot take so much food.

We ordered what we feel most like eating and most of the dishes turned out great. There were some minor disappointments but thats fine.

We alighted at 3pm at Swettenham pier, located right in front of the city centre of Georgetown, Penang and was informed that we are required to be back by 9pm. We walked around Georgetown by foot and tried some light bites as we were still so full from lunch.

We were back onboard the cruise at 7pm for dinner as we loved the food on cruise so much!

Our only form of exercise is just taking the stairs up and down everywhere we go on the cruise as the lifts were usually occupied.

We will use the app to book performances so that we are guaranteed a place when we queue to go in. Do note that it is free seating, so be there early to grab a good seat.

The only pet peeve of mine, is the constant reminder by their restaurant managers hovering at our tables, reminding us to vote for them in the cruise survey ( which we will receive at the end of the cruise ). It was annoying by the last day of the cruise as we couldn't even eat in peace and have to keep nodding our heads, saying yes, we will do so.

In the afternoon, you can go for the planned activities or play bumper cars, basketball, archery, games, etc. If you are still hungry, try pizzas at Sorrento's or hot dog buns at SeaPlex Dog House. All these are free.

If you want to splurge on even better food, you can check out other paid dining options, like Chips Grille, Teppanyaki, etc.

I am pretty pleased with the complimentary free dining options hence I didn't try any of the paid options.

We will be back again and hopefully we can go with more family members. Prices during the school holidays are too expensive and even more crowded so I don't fancy going on those months.

These were the skincare products I brought along for the cruise and they worked well for me.
