I purchased Huxley Secret Of Sahara Hydration Trio when I was in Korea as it was not available in Singapore then. I love its minimalist and clean packaging and the aesthetic is just so on-point!
However, the naming for each of the products were quite a mouthful and I get confused with the different ranges - hydration, brightening and anti-aging as the names sounded almost similar. I am glad to make the right choice in choosing this set. Lets delve down to see how this Hydration Trio Set works for me!

Huxley Secret Of Sahara Hydration Trio is a skincare trio that features a toner, an essence, and a cream to keep the skin balanced, soothed and well-hydrated even when exposed to the sun. Step 1: Toner 120ml - Formulated with more than 90% naturally derived ingredients including certified-organic Sahara cactus extract; mild acidic. Use after cleansing face
Step 2: Essence Grab Water 30ml - Cactus seed oil essence tightens skin and increases skin moisture. Use after toner.
Step 3: Cream 50ml - Increases hydration and protects skin from losing moisture. It is a refreshing gel-type cream that smooths over rough and tired skin
How To Use :
1) Include this product in your AM & PM skin care routine.
2) Spread a generous amount over face, neck and décolletage.
Huxley Secret Of Sahara Extract It Toner is a slightly acidic yet mild toner that replenishes moisture after cleansing, refines skin texture and balances skin. Instead of purified water, this toner mainly contains Cactus Essence and over 90% naturally derived ingredients. Rosa Centifolia offers soothing and tightening benefits while Crepe Myrtle revitalizes and rejuvenates skin texture.
How To Use :
Apply right amount on cotton pad, gently apply from inside to outside along the skin texture.
Huxley Extract It Toner comes in a clear glass bottle with a distinct Huxley's signature Moroccan Garden Oasis fragrance which I have grown accustomed to. Clear in colour, the texture is runny and lightweight which applies easily on cotton pads.
The recommended method is to use cotton pads which is convenient and fuss-free. There is no stickiness or greasiness and the toner contents get absorbed into skin pretty fast.
When I tried using the toner without cotton pads, its another story. I pour contents on my palms, warm them up between palms, press and tap them all over the face, however the quantity and concentration is higher since there are no cotton pads involved and this resulted in slight tackiness when applied on skin. I need to wait for a short while before it gets fully absorbed into skin.
I also tried it as a lotion mask, where 4 to 5 thin cotton pads are soaked with the toner and layered on my face. Skin was soft and plumped.
With twice daily usage, I had used up the toner in about 2 months. I like how the toner sinks into my skin, leaving it refreshed, soft and hydrated. It is not greasy and sticky, just the way I like my toners to be.
There are 4 different ways in using the toner :
Tip 1. Make your own soothing mask with soaked cotton pads or mask sheet
Tip 2. Make your own facial mist to hydrate the skin at any time
Tip 3. Use as oil mist by using a blend of TONER ; EXTRACT IT and OIL ; LIGHT AND MORE in 7:3 ratio
Tip 4. When applying makeup, dampen a puff with TONER ; EXTRACT IT to have moisturized, glowing skin
Huxley Extract It Toner is formulated to be slightly acidic because it is said that when skin stays alkaline or neutral for a long time, its protective layer becomes damaged and causes various allergic skin conditions or extremely dry skin. Adding on, the ideal skin's pH balance is supposed to be slightly acidic too.
Powered by Cactus Extract to deliver adequate hydration for a clear, fresh skin and infused with Sahara Cactus extract to balance and prep skin for treatment, Huxley Extract It Toner is recommended for dull to rough skin seeking smooth and moisturized skin as well as sensitive skin that gets dry and is out of balance.
Its key ingredient, Sahara Prickly Pear Seed Oil, is far lighter with a greater moisturizing effect than Argan Oil due to its high content of linoleic acid and contains an anti-aging effect due to Vitamin E (tocopherol) content that is over 400 times higher than olive oil.
Rosa Centifolia : Astringent action. Soothing the skin.

To conclude, Huxley Secret Of Sahara Extract It Toner is a gentle toner that is lightweight in texture and makes my skin soft and moisturized.
Huxley Secret Of Sahara Grab Water Essence is a lightweight, hydrating essence that replenishes moisture loss with Sahara Prickly Pear Seed Oil. With Peppermint Extract, it provides cooling benefit to reduce skin heat, leaving it refreshing.
How To Use :
Use after toner. Take appropriate amount and gently apply from inside to outside along the skin texture.
After prepping the skin with Huxley Extract It Toner, its time to layer on the Huxley Grab Water Essence which is an oasis for tired skin. It comes in a pretty blue tinted glass bottle with a white dropper dispenser and contains the same signature scent but lighter. Just 2 drops of this essence are sufficient for my whole face.
The watery-gel essence is lightweight ( slightly heavier in consistency than the Extract It Toner ) with a refreshing texture and a cooling sensation. The essence is super light and the cooling and soothing sensation is such a welcome treat in humid weather like Singapore.
There was a slight tackiness immediately after application and took a while for it to be absorbed into skin. Thereafter, it provides that healthy glow and I love how well it paired with Huxley Fresh And More Cream to give me well-hydrated skin or with Plant Story Cherry Tomato Bioganic Overnight Cream Mask for soft and supple skin.
This essence depleted faster than the toner, I used it up in less than 2 months with twice daily usage. However, when its nearing depletion to the last 10%, the dropper was not able to reach below to "suck" the contents and you have to pour it out for easier usage.
Featuring 85% Sahara Cactus extract along with Peppermint and Grapefruit extracts, this signature essence quenches and awakens skin. Sahara Cactus Seed Oil, a non-comedogenic oil high in Vitamin E, is revered for its ability to quickly absorb into skin while imparting lasting hydration and protecting the skin from stress and aging with its high concentration of antioxidants.

Unfortunately, the 3rd ingredient in the list is alcohol and while initially I can't detect any whiff of the alcohol scent but I noticed when the bottle is left with about 20% contents, the alcohol scent was apparent while the Huxley's signature scent became milder.
Alcohol being so high up in the list is not really welcomed in my books of skincare so if you are allergic to alcohol in skincare, do take note of it.
In general, alcohol’s function may be used as a solvent (a solvent is a solution which is able to dissolve or thin out a mixture), emulsifier (a solution which allows two different substances to blend together), antiseptic (kills bacteria), buffer (balances pH), stabiliser (prevents separation or unwanted reactions), preservative (minimises bacterial growth or spoilage) or penetration enhancer (improves delivery of an ingredient into skin).
For this Huxley Grab Water Essence, I believe the alcohol is added as a solvent to thin out the essence texture but I still prefer my skincare products to do without alcohol.

To conclude, Huxley Secret Of Sahara Grab Water Essence has a soothing and cooling sensation with a lightweight texture that is great for summer weather. It layers well under different products and provides that healthy glow. However, having alcohol as the 3rd ingredient in the list is pretty high for me, as a deterrent to a repurchase.
Huxley Secret Of Sahara Fresh And More Cream is a refreshing gel type moisturizer that shields skin from external aggressors and ensures long-lasting hydration. It contains Sahara Prickly Pear Seed Oil and Machihyun to soothe irritated skin and prevent moisture loss.
How To Use :
( Use after serum and before sunscreen )
1) Apply 1-2 pearl-sized amount of cream onto your palm.
2) Gently apply over entire face in an upward lifting motion. It can be used in the morning and at night.
The last product from Huxley Secret Of Sahara Hydration Trio is this Huxley Fresh And More Cream which is the last step to seal in all the goodness prepped from Huxley Extract It Toner and Huxley Grab Water Essence.
Housed in a frosted glass jar with a sizeable weight, this cream moisturizer has the same distinct signature scent which I am now used to. White in colour, the cream has a gel-light texture and is so comforting and refreshing on skin.
It is my favourite product from the lot simply because it is emollient without being heavy or greasy yet able to provide the moisture that my skin craves for. It left my skin feeling clean, fresh, hydrated and so soft and smooth. Do note that it contains silicone which provides a subtle velvety effect on skin however, its not so much so that its suffocating or unbearable. It is probably there to prevent moisture loss but if you are allergic to silicones in skincare, do take note.
A little goes a long way as the cream still has 80% left with twice daily usage in a month.
The naturally amino acid-rich, Organic Sahara Cactus oil nourishes while Natural Moisturizing Factors such as Ceramides fill and smooth skin. Comprised of 56% Sahara Cactus Seed Oil, a non-comedogenic oil high in Vitamin E, revered for its ability to quickly absorb into skin while imparting lasting hydration and protecting the skin from stress and aging with its high concentration of antioxidants.
56% Prickly Pear Cactus seed extract : Rich in Vitamin E, it immensely hydrated and ensures moisture retention. With powerful antioxidant actions to protect against free radical damage and ageing, it is also an excellent humectant.
Ceramide 3 : Helps in maintaining the integrity of skin’s barrier as it helps in better hydration and moisture retention, leaving the skin soft, smooth and supple.
Purslane Extract : Rich in Omega3 fatty acids, vitamins C and E and Beta Carotene which promote cell regeneration, brightens and evens skin tone and diminish damage due to UV rays.
Bamboo Juice : Enriched with flavonoids and amino acids, it strengthens the moisture barrier, protects against UV rays damage and offers antioxidant action.
Perilla Extract : Contains outstanding anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial actions as it soothes, hydrates and promotes healing.

Conclusion
To conclude, Huxley Secret Of Sahara Fresh And More Cream is my favourite product from the trio set with its emollient texture, yet it is non-greasy and non-sticky. I love how soft and smooth my skin is, from using the moisturizer.
Overall Summary
To summarize, its very rare for me to enjoy all the products sold in a set and I really did, for this set! I love every single product in this Huxley Secret Of Sahara Hydration Trio which consists of the Huxley Extract It Toner, Huxley Grab Water Essence and Huxley Fresh and More Cream.
That said, their packaging are made of glass so they are definitely not travel-friendly but you can always decant the contents to smaller bottles during travels.
In short, I am really happy and glad to have tried this set of products. The toner is gentle, refreshing and moisturizing. The essence is lightweight and provides a healthy glow while the cream makes my skin so soft and smooth. All 3 products are great for hydrating combination-oily skin in summer and humid weather which are perfect for me in Singapore but may be slightly lacking for those with severely dehydrated skin, dry skin and winter weather.
My skin adores lightweight textures in non-greasy form and these 3 products fit the bill perfectly. However, these products contain fragrance ( all 3 products ) and alcohol ( essence and cream ) so they may not be suitable for those with sensitive skin or those allergic to these ingredients. And because of the inclusion of alcohol, I am hesitant in repurchasing them as I do think alcohol in skincare compromises the skin barrier when used for the long term.
Would I repurchase? I am still not sure for now, but I know I would definitely miss these products once I used them up! Its been such a delightful experience using them and I hope you love them as much as I do!
