These Laniege Water Pocket Sheet Masks looked so bright and cheery so its no wonder that I would purchase some of the varieties when I was in Korea some time back. I first received a sheet from a good friend and later, went on to purchase the rest.

Out of the 7 different types, I have tried out 5 of them ( one of which is not featured in the picture below ).
Laneige Water Pocket Sheet Mask ( White Plus Renew ) is a whitening mask said to make skin look clear and bright. It is made up of a thin and very sheer material that is highly elastic to improve adherence to skin. It contains woven diamond-patterned pockets to release essence into the skin that can keep skin moisturized for hours. There is an additional protective mesh layer where the mask is kept in, to protect it.
The cutting fits well on my cherubic face shape, except for a slightly shorter nose flap. After a 20 minutes masking session, I noticed a subtle brightening effect on skin but there was also slight redness on nose and chin. Adding on, there was a slight taut sensation throughout the masking session till the mask was removed.
Key ingredient is Niacinamide which is also known as vitamin B3 and nicotinamide - a water-soluble vitamin that works with the natural substances in your skin to help visibly minimize enlarged pores, tighten lax pores, improve uneven skin tone, soften fine lines and wrinkles, diminish dullness, and strengthen a weakened surface.
Niacinamide also reduces the impact of environmental damage because of its ability to improve skin’s barrier (its first line of defense), plus it also plays a role in helping skin to repair signs of past damage. Left unchecked, this type of daily assault makes skin appear older, dull, and less radiant.

Laneige Water Pocket Sheet Mask ( Sparkling Water ) is a high performance brightening mask that provides clear and radiant skin. The sheet mask has a soapy floral fragrance with some bubbles on the sheet mask when I first layered it on skin for usage. The eye cutout is slightly larger than preferred while the nose flap is slightly shorter.
It has the same thin and sheer material made of densely woven, highly elastic fabric that closely adheres to skin along the curves of the face to deliver essence to skin where it matters most.
There was a tightening sensation 5 minutes into the masking session. A subtle brightening effect and smoother skin after the whole 20 minutes session.
Denatured Alcohol is found as the 4th ingredient in the list which is a no-no for me. According to skincare guru, Paula Begoun, SD alcohol, denatured alcohol and isopropyl alcohol are drying types of alcohol which help to give products a quick-drying finish, immediately degrease skin, and feel weightless on skin, so it’s easy to see their appeal, especially for those with oily skin, however, its simply bad for all skin types. Consequences include dryness, erosion of the surface of skin (that’s really bad for skin), and a strain on how skin replenishes, renews, and rejuvenates itself. Alcohol just weakens everything about skin.

Laneige Water Pocket Sheet Mask ( Water Bank ) is said to instantly moisturizes dry, flaky skin with hydro ion mineral water. The sheet mask has a strong perfum-y scent which lingers throughout the masking session.
Thin and sheer with highly elastic material makes it a great adherence fit to skin. Skin is moderately hydrated.

Laneige Water Pocket Sheet Mask ( Time Freeze ) is said to make skin appear firm and elastic by taking care of signs of aging. Similarly to other masks in the same series, the Time Freeze sheet mask is made of a highly elastic material that has pretty good adherence to skin
The diamond-patterned water pockets on the sheet mask helps to release essence slowly, for long-lasting, maximum impact. Unfortunately, I did not see any difference to my skin after a 20 minute masking session.

Laneige Water Pocket Sheet Mask ( Clear-C ) contains superberry extract that has great antioxidant effects. When I first saw the name, I thought it was a Vitamin C mask since there is a "C" in it and its orange in colour, but in fact, its actually a skin purifying mask which is also kind of misleading in the naming as, a skin purifying mask usually indicates deep cleansing to clear acne blemishes and help prevent new ones from forming
The Clear C sheet mask is made up of a densely woven sheet mask with diamond-patterned pockets, embedded with essence to address different skin conditions. The highly elastic material closely adheres to skin along the curves of the face so it does not get flabby or droopy for a good adherence fit.
Unfortunately, after a 20 minute masking session, I don't see any difference to skin.
The key ingredients are Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract and Acerola Fruit Extract.
Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract, also known as Acai (pronounced “ah-sigh-ee”) is a small berry with a deep purple color. It is a potent source of antioxidants, including ferulic acid and epicatechin. According to in vitro research, açai has higher antioxidant content than cranberry, raspberry, blackberry, strawberry, or blueberry, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it is the best antioxidant—just one of many to choose from when it comes to your skincare products. Consumed orally via supplement, juice, or as a whole food, acai has been shown to exert potent antioxidant benefits and reduce the cascade of damage caused by the overproduction of free radicals.
Acerola fruit extract is a potent source of antioxidants and hydrating polysaccharides, some of which have been shown to protect fibroblasts in skin from suffering oxidative damage, which in turn leads to younger-looking skin. The fruit is rich in vitamin C, beta-carotene, several polyphenols (all working as antioxidants), and the B vitamin folate.
The yellow- to red-toned ripe acerola fruit can also prevent lipids such as our skin’s oil from free radical damage. It’s truly a multi-faceted antioxidant plant extract that can benefit all skin types and is also a proven “superfood” ingredient that has been shown to benefit skin when consumed orally, largely due to its ability to reduce inflammation. Acerola is sometimes referred to as Barbados cherry or the acerola cherry.

Conclusion
After trying out Type 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 in the Laneige Water Pocket Sheet Mask series, I can't say that I like them enough to warrant a repurchase even though the adherence to skin is great and much better than some other masks.
I can see a subtle brightening effect with using White Plus Renew and Sparkling Water sheet masks but they also either made my skin red or tight which I don't fancy in a masking session. I didn't see any difference with using Time Freeze and Clear C sheet masks while the performance for Water Bank sheet mask is average.
Then again, what I experienced may not be your true experience, however at this point, they would not be a repurchase for me.
