Review : Sulwhasoo Essential Balancing Emulsion EX

Sulwhasoo Essential Balancing Emulsion EX review
Product Description
Mountain Peony extract softens and refines skin texture while Yai Jiu Hua helps improve skin clarity. Spreads easily over the skin's surface and absorbs completely, leaving it soft and supple.

Sulwhasoo Essential Balancing Emulsion EX comes in the trial kit which I owned. A 15ml size. Honestly speaking, other than the extra EX at the back of the name, I am not sure what is the exact difference between the original formula and this latest formula. I believe the additional EX is just so, to be in sync with the whole range of products.

I had a pleasant experience 3 years ago, with the original formula so I wasn't expecting any difference with this "updated" formula. And indeed, it did not defer much from what I love about this emulsion.

Milky white with a lotion-like texture, it applies well to skin. The herbal scent was pretty much welcomed too. I used the Balancing Emulsion EX, after First Care Serum EX and Balancing Water EX.

It moisturises my skin pretty well when its in optimal skin condition. It also works fine when I brought it along for my last Bali trip, except for slight flakiness on my nose on the last day of my 4 day trip. However, I don't foresee that the Sulwhasoo Essential Balancing Emulsion EX will work for those who battle with dehydration issue on a daily basis.

The video below illustrates some massage steps which you can follow.

After incorporating the 3 steps of the balancing range, my skin is in a better condition - moisturised, well-balanced skin with no flakiness issue, in Singapore. If I sleep in an air-conditioned room at night, I will top up with Sulwhasoo Overnight Vitalizing Mask as a last step, for an additional layer of hydration.
