The scent is not off-putting but just kind of odd. A fresh grapefruit scent with a hint of mint. I didn't like it too much initially but has now grown accustomed to it. It is not unbearable but just an acquired preference.
The gel foams pretty well, giving rise to lots of lathering during the shower. The pump dispenser works well and has not malfunctioned so far.
