Usage :
With a cotton pad: Gently glide saturated cotton pad over face, from the center out. Start at chin and move upwards to cheeks and forehead. Do not apply pressure during application.
With your hands: Pour 5 or 6 drops of Micro Essence in hand and rub hands together. Gently press the Micro Essence into skin from the center out. Start at chin and move upwards to cheeks and forehead.Rub hands together to warm, and then gently wrap face using warm hands to complete application.

Every time Estee Lauder comes up with a new product, they are generous enough to produce sample sizes for users who are interested in trying them, so I opted for a 15ml size to use it for a week.
Micro Essence Skin Activating Lotion is a toner, to be used before serum and moisturizer. In using the lotion, which you can apply with a cotton pad or palms, it helps other products that goes after the lotion, to better penetrate the skin, boosting its efficacy. I usually use it with a cotton pad, as with all lotions.
Thinner than a lotion but thicker than a water-based toner, the Estee Lauder Micro Essence Skin Activating Lotion has a slightly sticky base that stays on top of the skin after application, which is why I prefer to use a cotton pad that goes all over the skin, spreading it thinly. It has a light fermented scent, somehow like SKII but not as overpowering.
Within a few minutes after application, the lotion gets absorbed into skin, making it feels hydrated and bouncy, keeping it plumped, smooth and supple. However, I didn't see any significant improvement in refined texture, even toned skin or youthful radiance after a week's usage.
