I am thankful for the opportunity to try out their award-winning Cellogist Youth Guard Cream recently. (Check out my previous review on its cleansing water here) Its been said that its best to start an anti-aging regime from age 25, to delay the effects of aging. I am no longer at that young age so this cream comes at an appropriate time for me.
I am not a fan of any heavy and greasy cream so when I first read about the product, I was hesitant in using it but was won over by the initial impression of the product.

This 30ml opaque plastic bottle comes with a hygenic pump dispenser that dispenses the white cream easily. The portable and slim size made it travel-friendly too. On first glance, the white cream may look creamy and heavy but the texture is less creamy than I expected it to be, which is good news for my skin type. On dry skin, it appears to have some difficulty to glide on the skin so I like to use a facial spray prior to application of the product. ( Moisturiser needs to be applied when the skin is damp ) After cleansing, I sprayed on my favourite Avene Thermal Spray and the cream applies like a dream on damp skin.
I have been using it twice a day on a daily basis for close to a week and here's what I thought. I use them on damp skin ( read : not wet skin ) so the texture would be less heavy and not too rich if thats your concern. It sinks into the skin fast, leaving no greasy after-feel. The skin feels softer, smoother and appears to be more even-toned the following morning. Skin does not feel dry or tight. And the effects last for the whole day. Its still too early to judge the firming and age spots improvement but the initial impression has certainly made me continue to use it for now.
Kindly note that this cream may be too rich for oily skin as I developed 2 zits on my chin when I forgot to spray the Thermal Water prior to using it, on one fine day.
