Review on Bioglo Lift And Firm Eye Mask

Quoted :
" Bioglo Lift & Firm Eye Mask with advanced Marine Filling Spheres™ delivers amazing results from the very first application:

• Wrinkles, fine lines and crows' feet are dramatically reduced
• Eye contours are visibly lifted and skin feels firmer "

Marine Filling Spheres™ is the state-of-the-art technology that combines marine derived polysaccharides and collagen to deliver intense skin-firming, smoothening and hydrating action.

Containing 4 pairs in a box, the generous eye patches are soaked with essence to be placed on the under eye area. There is a slight tingling tightening feeling but I do not really see and feel that my eye contours are lifted as claimed.

I cannot comment much on wrinkles and crow feets for now, but from the first application, I do feel that my eye area does seem more radiant and brighter.
After each application, my under eye area also feels smoother to the touch.

I have used up 2 boxes, 1 pair twice a week for close to a month and while my under eye area is not lifted up and my fine lines are still there but my eye bags looked less puffy and more radiant.
Still, nothing beats Bioessence. Read my previous review here

This is a product of Taiwan and its shelf life is 3 years.
You can get this product from all Cosway distributors.

The packaging seems abit silly because it can fill up to almost 8 pairs of the masks but it only contain 4 pairs. Perhaps its a marketing gimmick as a visual appreciation but I find the space wasteful.

Skin Care: Best Eye Cream Ingredients

Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides.
For plump skin cells nothing beats hyaluronic acid, which draws moisture from the air and holds up to 1,000 times its weight in water. In addition to hyaluronic acid, ceramides also help maintain hydration. A powerful new formula that includes both: Estée Lauder Time Zone Anti-Line/Wrinkle Eye Crème.

Retinol.
A vitamin A derivative, retinol stimulates cell turnover and collagen production, helping to strengthen skin and reduce complexion imperfections like sun spots and fine lines. Just remember that a little goes a long way; retinol creams make skin more sun-sensitive and can be overly drying, so apply sparingly before bedtime only. To get your nightly retinol dose, Day suggests Olay Professional Pro-X Eye Restoration Complex.

Neuropeptides.
Supersensitive skin types might opt for a peptide-packed eye cream instead of a retinoic acid one. Like retinol, neuropeptides also stimulate collagen and elastin production, but are gentler on the dermis. “In studies applying various neuropeptide preparations directly to the skin, exciting clinical benefits were observed almost immediately upon application,” says Nicholas Perricone, MD. “There was visible improvement of the skin’s resilience, tone, and texture.” Try Perricone MD Neuropeptide Eye Contour to brighten your baby blues and for a double dose of peptides, look for Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Eye Shadow.

Vitamins C and E.
Besides vitamin A (in the form of topical retinol), vitamins C and E are also potent antiaging ingredients. While vitamin C aids in collagen production and skin elasticity, vitamin E soothes and protects.

How to fix flat hair

When the humidity gets sucked out of the air, you need to pump up the volume.
Here's how to lift the heaviness.

Keep hair close to one length. "When you overlayer it, you risk taking away too much bulk and actually decreasing the volume," says hairstylist Nathaniel Hawkins, who thinks "an angled or graduated bob that's lightly layered works beautifully."

Lighten your base color one or two shades. This "gives the look of more volume," says colorist Rita Hazan of the Rita Hazan Salon in New York City.

If you don't want to change your color, you can still consider using dye for texture—it ruffles the cuticle just enough to create body.

Condition before you shampoo. "You'll still get the moisture and elasticity, but you'll wash out any residue that can weigh down fine hair," says Hawkins.

Blowdry in moderation. Creating volume in fine hair is like making a soufflé—overwork it and the whole thing falls flat. When blow-drying, work on large sections, holding the nozzle a few inches from hair and keeping it moving.

Spray it. To boost volume once the hair is dry, lift three-inch sections and allow them to drop through a mist of medium-hold hair spray, says hairstylist Jimmy Paul, "then spray your entire head with dry shampoo and scrunch; the result is hair with lift and a lovely seemingly no-product finish.

Review on Fekkai Protein RX Reparative Conditioner

I stumbled upon this conditioner when I was in Bath and Body Works in Las Vegas.
Bath and Body Works is one of those must-visit places recommended by a close friend of mine.
She was crazy over their range of body lotions and thinks its really good.

Well, I stepped in there but was overwhelmed by their range of body lotions.
I just didn't know what I want and since I am not one of those who uses body lotions on a daily basis, I thought I might as well pick up their hair products.

Protein Rx Reparative Conditioner is ideal for brittle, broken hair that has been weakened from coloring, relaxing, or heat styling. An exclusive soy and milk protein complex restores and reinforces hair preventing future breakage, leaving hair stronger and more manageable.

Daily reparative conditioner with soy and milk proteins moisturizes, rebuilds and strengthens. With daily use, it helps to eliminate and prevent breakage.

Scoring a 9.3 from Total Beauty readers, its considered quite a good conditioner.
However, some of them have commented that this conditioner is not meant to be used as a daily conditioner as its protein-based therefore, it may create more frizz.

I used this as a daily conditioner and it does made my hair softer and manageable.
The texture is thick and creamy and smells heavenly.
However, I do not really find that my hair have become more moisturised. It still feels dry.
Tangled ends and frizziness are still apparent.
I bought it at US$22 which is a tad too expensive though.

Review on True Bio Skin Care Moisturising Cleanser

If you have read about my True facial experience, you may have realized I bought this cleanser as part of the trial size.

It costs a whopping $415 for 4 small bottles.
It was quite a heartache actually but I thought I will just give this trial kit a go, since this cleanser is one of their bestseller.

Enriched with Rosemary Oil, Lemon Oil and Cucumber Extracts to nourish all skin types. It gently deep cleanses the skin by removing all traces of dirt, dead cells and impurities from the pores. Its natural antiseptic properties reduce inflammation, refresh and tighten the skin.

This is my first natural cleanser and I was filled with hope.
I made Skincare SIN #1 a few months ago, which was to switch all my current products to all new natural products. It caused a massive breakout on my face and I never forgive myself for that.

I allow my skin to heal back by switching back to my normal skincare products thereafter and thankfully my skin have gone back to its normal behaviour.

Recently, I was back to using this 15ml cleanser on a nightly basis.

Compared to most other cleansers, I will consider this as a mild cleanser which is something I like, since I really like Dermalogica Calming Cleanser.
Its so suitable for sensitive skin like mine!
In fact, its touted that its gentle enough even for babies.

This clear gel foams when in contact with water and does not contain any harsh ingredients like SLS.

It contains a slight scent of rosemary which is nothing to hate about.

Since its so gentle, I thought it should not have given me a tight feeling after cleansing but surprisingly, each time after using the cleanser, my skin feels tight and dry. Its not one of those very tight feeling after using some harsh cleanser but I am still uncomfortable with it.
Thereafter, I usually follow up with a hydrating mask or hydrating serum.

So, to say that its even suitable for babies, I beg to differ. Babies have the perfect soft skin and I cannot imagine them telling their mummies that the cleanser is not suitable for them. Ouch! Do they brawl their eyes out?

The plant essences used in TRUE Bio Skin Care products are obtained by a highly scientific, non-destructive, low pressure process of extraction that is touted to be the best method for producing high quality botanical extracts.

This ensures that a high level of beneficial enzymes, vitamins, protoplasm and collagen in the plants are retained and kept alive.

They are then able to penetrate deep into the dermis in a matter of seconds to treat the root of the problem.

The hefty price may actually turn off some potential customers. Its retailing at $210 for 100ml.
But if it truly works, why not invest in it? It may be your best investment in years to come.

As for myself, I guess I will not be buying this, after using this trial size because its just not so suitable for me.
In fact I will have been devastated if I have bought their full 100ml cleanser since $210 is not so cheap.
