Performance and Ingredients
Reef-friendly Illiyoon Mild Easy-Wash Sun Cream protects skin from UV radiation with SPF 50+ PA++++. This multifunctional product also contains lauric acid for anti-acne effect, and scutellaria baicalensis root extract for antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Free from animal materials, mineral oil, polyacrylamide, imidazolidinyl urea, triethanolamine, tar colorants, PEG and talc, Illiyoon Mild Easy-Wash Sun Cream is a non-sticky, long lasting sun screen that fits for all. It hydrates skin while protecting skin from UV. It has a easy clean formula that is said to be easily washed away with one cleanse as the easy-wash formula has a water outer film instead of oil, hence ensuring a perfect rinse with no residue.
This mild easy-wash sun cream works great for both face and body. I didn't fancy the sunscreen fragrance but thankfully it dissipated after a short while.
The lightweight creamy texture has a semi-matte finishing that came as a surprise. My combination skin didn't oil up but remain semi-matte throughout the day. It goes on smooth and doesn't feel greasy or sticky which are bonus points!
That said, I still double cleanse my skin, as I didn't want to take any chances with breakouts on my face by cleansing once.
The sunscreen contails 5 UV filters.
Homosalate : An organic compound that belongs to salicylates. It is an ester formed from salicylic acid and 3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexanol, a derivative of cyclohexanol. Salicylates prevent direct skin exposure to the sun’s harmful rays by absorbing ultraviolet (UV) light. Homosalate specifically absorbs short-wave UVB rays, which are associated with DNA damage and increased risk of skin cancer.
Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate : A new generation, chemical sunscreen agent with high UVA protection and high photostability. Also known as Uvinul A Plus.
Ethylhexyl Salicylate : Also known as Ethylhexyl Salicylate or Octisalate, this is an organic compound used as an ingredient in sunscreens and cosmetics to absorb UVB (ultraviolet) rays from the sun. Although the Cosmetics Ingredient Review notes that reproductive and developmental toxicity can occur in relation to Salicylic Acid, one of the two primary components of Ethylhexyl Salicylate, it has determined that the levels used in cosmetic and beauty products would not cause any adverse reaction. Importantly, the FDA has approved Ethylhexyl Salicylate for use in sunscreen with up to 5% concentration. Ethylhexyl Salicylate receives an EWG hazard rating of 4.
Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine : A broad-spectrum ( full UVA and UVB protection ) chemical sunscreen agent which is also known as Tinosorb S. Hardly deteriorates in the presence of UV.
Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid : An organic compound used in sunscreens and other cosmetic and beauty products with a sunscreen or SPF component because of its ability to block UVB rays. It is known in the United States as Ensuizole, according to Wikipedia. Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid has the ability to block UVB rays, but does not protect against long range UVA rays; because of this, it is often paired with other ingredients, including avobenzone, titanium dioxide, zinc oxide or Tinosorb. Its potency and protective qualities do not degrade in sun exposure, and it is possible that is also partly decreases the degradation of other UVB blocker ingredients in sunscreens. Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid also has the ability to convert incident ultraviolet radiation into less damaging infrared radiation, or heat. It has a light, non-greasy finish

Conclusion
To conclude, Illiyoon Mild Easy-Wash Sun Cream is a non-sticky, long-lasting sunscreen that provides solid UV protection while keeping the skin comfortably hydrated. Its lightweight, creamy texture blends in smoothly and leaves behind a surprising semi-matte finish that held up well on my combination skin throughout the day—no greasiness, no stickiness, just a comfortable wear.
Though the sunscreen scent wasn’t my favorite, it faded quickly. I also appreciate the easy-wash formula, which claims to rinse off with just one cleanse thanks to its water-based outer film. While it’s designed for both face and body, I still prefer to double cleanse—just to be safe and prevent potential breakouts. All in all, it’s a fuss-free, skin-friendly option for everyday sun protection.
