My 3D2N Batam Trip + Beauty Shopping + Haul

 

I needed a short break and we made the decision to travel out to Batam, Indonesia. Booked the ferry tickets, hotel and insurance all within a month. 

Ferry : Horizon Fast Ferry 

Hotel Stay : I Hotel Baloi

The horizon fast ferry took an hour to reach Batam Harbourbay and I do recommend one to use Gojek for cheaper cab fares. 

Highly recommended by a friend, the location of the hotel was great as it was within walking distance to 2 malls ( Grand Batam Mall and Batam City Square Mall ). Perfect to shop with my parents as they can rest at the hotel whenever they are tired. 

Service was great initially as they allowed me to check-in early. However, there was a baby lizard in the bathroom of my hotel room and 2 baby cockroaches in my parents' room. Not a pleasant experience.

Other than buying The Master Kueh Lapis, I also took a chance to haul some Indonesian skincare back home.
