Review of Chanel Blue Serum
Serum Product Description
CHANEL BLUE SERUM is the first serum for the face concentrating the power of natural ingredients from diets of the blue zones, regions of the world where people enjoy a healthier and better lifestyle. Green coffee from Costa Rica, olive from Sardinia and lentisk gum extract from Greece are three essential nutrients in the beauty diet of the skin.

Composed of three natural active ingredients with energising and antioxidant properties, BLUE SERUM heightens the effectiveness of other CHANEL moisturising, anti-aging or radiance-revealing skincare products. BLUE SERUM is the catalyst of all benefits, the essential serum of all beauty rituals. Skin appears younger and healthier. Wrinkles look smoothed, skin firmer and the complexion more even.

Chanel Le Blanc Whitening Moisturizing Cream Review
Moisturizer Product Description
The light, fresh texture of Crème Fine melts into skin, leaving it smooth and silky while actively reducing pigmentation flaws. With its high concentration of the TXC™ molecule, it reinforces the correction and prevention of dark spots. 2-Year pearl extract illuminates dull and yellow-toned complexions by preventing the oxidation of surface proteins and the cream provides a sensation of hydration for 12 hours.

Skin is soft, supple and plumped, both upon application and over time. Skin lights up with pure radiance and the complexion looks perfectly smooth and even.

Active Ingredients :
• The polyfunctional TXC™ molecule targets all known biological factors of hyperpigmentation. This exceptional technology, exclusive to CHANEL, works against hyperpigmentation in two phases.
Firstly, TXC™ molecule addresses chronic inflammation to neutralize the overproduction of melanin before it even begins.
Secondly, TXC™ is a polyactive molecule with 12 hours of continuous action to address the 7 factors responsible for melanin overproduction, while acting on 3 layers of the skin. The unique dual action of TXC™ molecule also targets dark spots, evening out skin tone and preventing new spots from forming.
• Derived from specific Akoya pearls carefully matured and cultivated for an optimal two years, 2-Year pearl extract illuminates dull and yellow tones by combatting the oxidation of protein in the surface layer of the skin. When protein oxidizes, light is poorly transmitted, causing skin to look dull and yellowed. Also enriched with double the amount of glycine, 2-Year pearl extract hydrates skin by locking water inside epidermis cells. Hydrated and refined, skin looks more luminous and radiant with all the translucency and perfection of precious pearls.

I received 5ml sample sizes of Chanel Blue Serum and Whitening Moisturizing Cream after my friend has purchased some Chanel make-up from the counter at Takashimaya. I paired both products for a week usage and really like the cream much more than the serum.

SERUM

Chanel Blue Serum is extremely heavy in fragrance that is not really for the faint-hearted. Clear in colour with a lightweight texture, the serum applies well without much greasiness. However, I can't see any difference even after a week's usage.

There is an application technique for the serum but unfortunately, by the time I came to know about it, I have already used up the serum so I cannot attest to its effectiveness.

BLUE SERUM APPLICATION TECHNIQUE
It combines pressure points with fingertips (x3) and deep smoothing movements outwards with index and medium finger (x3) on the following areas:

1- Jawline: pressure points from the medium line between the chin and lower lip, then deep smoothing movements to the earlobes.

2- The corners of the lips: pressure points from the corners of the lips, then deep smoothing movements on the cheeks to finish on the ears.

3- Nostrils: pressure points from the external part of the nostrils, then deep smoothing movements to the temples.

4- Forehead: pressure points with all the fingers from a vertical line in the middle of the forehead, then deep smoothing movements to the temples.

5- Temples: perform 3 circular movements on the temples with the fingertips, then go behind the ears and finish down to the clavicles.

The product scored 4.6 from 9 users on Makeupalley.

CREAM

Chanel Le Blanc Whitening Moisturizing Cream is white in colour with an emollient texture that glides on skin leaving a silky finishing behind. The fragrance is also strong but slightly lesser than the serum.

My skin looked more radiant and has a subtle glow, after applying the Moisturizing Cream. The difference is more apparent after my make-up is done, as though there is a lit-within glow.

Unfortunately, there are no ingredient lists provided for both sample products.
