Apparently, Soak Superfood products are used as hotel amenities in selected hotels in some countries so that was how I chanced upon them when I was in Australia. In Singapore, you may get to use it if you stay in Naumi Liora, a boutique hotel in Chinatown. I tend to get intrigued by new and interesting toiletries because it reflects how hotels view customers and the type of care and attention that goes into their budget to come up with thoughtful hotel amenities, instead of the usual run-of-the-mill products.

The fun packaging from Soak Superfood drew me in, initially. Cursive and small letters bring a playful vibe and with the word superfood in the name - that got my full attention.

Soak Superfood Skincare Hair Shine Shampoo is formulated with Kale in mind - which has vitamins A, C and K as well as minerals such as copper, potassium, iron, manganese and phosphorus. It also contains beta-carotene which would be converted to Vitamin A that protects against dull hair and dry skin.

As for Soak Superfood Skincare Revive Conditioner, it is formulated with Maca Root in mind, which is packed full of amino acids, calcium, carbohydrates, fatty acids, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, protein, vitamin B, vitamin C, vitamin E and zinc. Maca-infused products can help to maintain hair thickness, fight hair loss and encourage the growth of strong and hydrated locks.

The shampoo has a light consistency and produces little suds to provide a good daily wash. The conditioner is creamy and provides light conditioning to the hair ends for nourishment. However, the 25ml sizes are not enough for me, to see any potential long term effects on my hair yet.

Both products are lightweight enough without being greasy or drying and would be great as daily haircare products. If only the prices can be more pocket-friendly and it provides international delivery at a cheaper shipping rate, else it may be difficult to compete with so many brands out there.

In terms of ingredients, the key ingredients for shampoo and conditioner are found only in the middle of the list while the rest are filled with the usual surfactants, fragrance, preservatives.
