DIY Beauty : Honey + Salt Mask

I have compiled a few easy DIY honey masks and scrubs from various sources for those days that you have run out of your facial sheet masks yet desperately need some pick-me-up concoctions, so what better way than to use what you have in your kitchen?

Honey + Salt + Olive Oil Face Mask 
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon salt
Few drops of olive oil

Mix everything together until the mask looks similar to caramel.  Apply gently over clean, wet skin in a circular motion, making sure to avoid eye area.  Leave on for about 15 minutes, then rinse.  Follow up with your favorite moisturizer.

I have tried out Rose, Honey, Olive and now, Broccoli. Containing 6000ppm Broccoli extract, A'Pieu My Skin-Fit Sheet Mask ( Broccoli ) is said to improve the skin condition from the environmental aggressors. The scent reminds me of slathering my face with vegetables and its so funny!

I like the thin and sheer material which makes adhering to skin pretty snug and fit although the cutting in this series of sheet mask is not an exact fit to my face shape. The nose flap is slightly shorter while the large cutout eye area meant that my undereye area is not covered and the mask sheet for the upper lip area is narrower.

The masking experience has been good. Cooling and refreshing, the 20 minute mask treatment left my skin visibly brighter and clearer. Great to be used if you have an event coming up and you don't want to appear tired and haggard.

Thin and sheer, the mask sheet adheres to skin pretty well, except with a shorter nose flap, larger eye cut-out area and a gap between the nose and cheek. The fragrance smells good too.

After a 20 minute mask treatment, my skin was calmer, looked less red and more rested. A value for money decent mask for daily maintenance.

Without putting your head back down on the floor, bring your chin to your chest. I do three sets of 10 repetitions, but you can build up to that! I alternate the chin-to-chest one with a side-to-side movement. Start the same way—flat on your back with your head lifted one inch off the ground. Without putting your head back down on floor, turn your head to the right, back to the center, and then to the left. I also do three sets of 10 of these.

6) I love using a dry brush before I bathe or shower. On dry skin, I use the brush all over my body, always brushing toward my heart. Not only do you brush off dead skin, you invigorate your body, stimulate your lymphatic system, reduce cellulite, and decongest your skin.
