Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar Microrenewal Hydrating Mist was having a sale at the Luxasia warehouse sale last year, marked down to $9 from its original $42. Just in time to replace my depleting facial mist. Note that I tend to use a mist in replace of a toner, so if I'm using a toner, I will skip using a facial mist.
Hope In A Jar Microrenewal Hydrating Mist has a minimalist feel to it, with its clear bottle and black fonts on it. With ingredients that boast all-day hydration, visibly smoother skin, and the ability to improve skin micro-circulation, it seems like something which my dehydrated skin will thank me for.
Each spritz delivers three forms of alpha hydroxy acids for zero shine skin while an Asian fruit extract boosts circulation for a dewy glow. While I usually won't reach for any AHA peels for my sensitive skin, I do think that a mist which does that ( using glycolic and mandelic acids ) won't be too harsh on skin, with its tiny droplets.
The spritz did bother me alittle, somehow it seems to be slanted although I can't see it with the naked eye but I felt that the mist goes sideways slightly when I sprayed it on my face. At the same time, it also made me wonder if thats why the prices were marked down, because of some defects. Not very ethical, if thats the case.
I mainly use it, right after cleansing and before serum, so that I have damp skin for facial oils or essence to be absorbed thereafter. The subtle floral scent was refreshing and felt almost hydrating but it does nothing much as a permanent fixture as my parched skin tightens whenever I am close to an air-conditioned unit ( ie. in a car )
Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar Microrenewal Hydrating Mist is not exactly for my skin type. Its good enough as a refreshing pick-me-up mist but nothing much thereafter.
