Review : By Terry Blush Glace ( Frozen Petal )

Product Description
This quenching blush flushes the cheeks with a cool burst of watercolour for a long-wearing healthy glow. Smooths the complexion, protects the skin, and delicately flushes the cheeks with colour for a plumped, preened finish.

Its hard to say no, when By Terry Blush Glace ( Frozen Petal ) stares at me with a $19 price tag instead of the usual hefty $95 price tag. That was during the Luxasia warehouse sale last year and Frozen Petal ( shade 03 ) was the only shade left.

For the uninitiated, By Terry Cellularose Blush Glace comes in 3 shades, namely Rose Melba, Flower Sorbet and Frozen Petal.

And so I entered the arena of the more expensive blushes that day - because I am simply not one to splurge on high-end make-up. By Terry Blush Glace ( Frozen Petal ) delights me, with its luxurious glass case thats tiny enough to be portable yet not practical because of the glass, on trips. Adding to that, its not exactly hygienic unless you use a spatula. Once opened, it exudes its signature By Terry rose scent with a blush texture that is simply irresistible.

To be exact, the texture is nothing that I have ever come across, not that I am any expert on blushes. Heh. It feels like a gel-mousse with a whipped texture that is so lightweight as you spread it on the cheeks. And here comes the difficult part - I didn't know how to blend it well to make it look natural.

The colour looks very reddish to orange but the actual shade is much lighter when its glided on the cheeks. And the more I blend and tap, the more, the colour disappears and I have to scoop more from the tub to blend it on my cheeks all over again. It takes too much time and too much effort.
And yet, if I don't blend it too much, the blusher tends to look like streaks across my cheeks which is so amateurish.

Of all the 5 times I have ever used By Terry Blush Glace ( Frozen Petal ), I only succeeded once, where my face looks natural with a fresh dewy and flushed look. I love it so much, however unfortunately, I never manage to re-create that look again. I will be giving this away, in order not to waste it.

That said, Frozen Petal has a slight iridescence which if blend well, will help to enhance the glow factor on the cheeks.
