DIY Beauty : How to lighten your locks – without bleach or dye

Lemon
Lemon juice is a citric acid and when exposed to heat from the sun, the hair cuticle opens up and the pigment lifted, causing hair to lighten.

1) Add a few squeezes of lemon to water
2) Stir the mixture
3) Spritz it in the desired areas in your hair where you want it to be lightened
4) Expose it to sunlight

Chamomile
Chamomile contains a natural, weak dye that gradually lightens the hair and brings out the natural light tones with regular use.
1) Brew chamomile tea ( ~5 teabags )
2) Let it cool completely
3) Pour it into a spray bottle
4) Spritz it onto your hair when heading outdoors

Baking Soda
Baking soda naturally strips hair product build-up so it will both lighten and cleanse the hair
1) Combine baking soda with a little water till it forms a paste
2) Massage it into the scalp and all over the hair
