Review : Handmade Heroes Butt Kickin' Deep Detoxing Coffee Scrub

Product Description
Mighty tough on cellulite but kind on skin. Butt Kickin' Deep Detox coffee scrub stimulates circulation with ground organic coffee, tightens skin and improves elasticity. Giving those nasty problem areas some mighty tough love! Use on problem areas such as the stomach, hips, thighs and butt. 100% all natural, vegan and cruelty free. No parabens, preservatives or synthetic chemicals.

There was a promotion on Naiise and I took the chance to get one of the Handmade Heroes Butt Kickin' Deep Detoxing Coffee Scrub, just because I want the back of my thighs to look good. A 125g costs $21.90 on Naiise and $19.90 on Handmade Hero webstore but I managed to snag it for $17.52.

The fun sounding name for a cellulite body scrub makes me want to try it out so badly! And certainly hoping it works as good as it sounds.
Handcrafted and handmade in Singapore, Handmade Heroes is 100% natural and there is only 5 ingredients in the coffee scrub - clean and void of any nasty chemicals. Good stuff!

Pretty small and compact was my initial impression when I pick up the goods from Naiise. I thought it will only last me for a short while, but thank goodness for its concentrated concoction and the small plastic spoon that comes with it, Handmade Heroes Butt Kickin' Deep Detoxing Coffee Scrub lasts me for slightly more than a month with my every 3 days usage, focusing on the problem areas only.
If I used it over the whole body, I guess, it won't last beyond a month.

There is an expiry date on the plastic tub which I appreciate, especially for an item touted to be 100% natural and may go rancid pretty easily.

The unscrewed cap presents a slightly moist body scrub, to my pleasant surprise. I am used to seeing either dry body scrub or dry scrub with a layer of oil on top but Handmade Heroes Butt Kickin' Deep Detoxing Coffee Scrub was something new and I like how it was.

With dry gritty beads on a dry scrub, it tends to be harsh while with dry scrub and a layer of oil on top, you will have to mix both well together yourself, just so, you won't end up with a too-greasy body.

Butt Kickin' Deep Detoxing Coffee Scrub has done all that, so there is no need to mix it yourself. Basically, I just scoop the contents with the provided spoon, spread it over my palms and scrub/massage on my hips, thighs, butt and sometimes on my tummy. The coffee and cocoa scent was uplifting and smells almost delicious.

The scrub beads exfoliate the skin without any harshness, making my skin soft and smooth to the touch. Skin was moisturised too, due to the inclusion of oils.
However, because the beads are not fine, but more like granules, it tends to slip from the skin ( as you massage ) down to the floor, which tends to get messy with brown granules all over the bathroom floor. And it was wasteful too, especially since I only have 125g of contents in a tub.

I have used up the whole tub but was disappointed that I didn't see much difference to my dimpled butt and thighs though. I have combined it with a once/twice weekly gym exercise ( alright, I know it isn't much ) but results still didn't show up.
Oh well, I also know that cellulite is not something that can disappear so easily, with just a scrub but it never hurts to hope.
