Review : Nuxe Micellar Cleansing Water with 3 Roses and Green Tea

Product Description
In a single action, this alcohol and fragrance-free cleansing water eliminates all impurities from the face, eyes and lips. Its fresh texture and Floral Water fragrance remove all traces of make-up from your face, leaving it perfectly cleansed and toned. The core of active principles with 3 Roses (Red, Black and White) soothes and softens your skin. Rose Water tones and Green Tea Extract has anti-oxidizing properties. Without added paraben or phenoxyethanol.

I bought this cleansing water, after redeeming a $20 voucher from AMICA magazine last year. It was a good chance for me to try out this brand as a colleague of mine have been raving about Nuxe for months which of course have made me much tempted.

At first, I wasn't too overly impressed with this cleansing water because the smell is really off. I presume its the combination of the rose and green tea scents with rose as the predominant of the 2. I seriously wasn't impressed with a rose having such a strong choking scent. I guess I have been pampered by Crabtree and Evelyn floral fragrance and thought all roses should have a nice floral scent. Thankfully it was just a cleansing water which meant I get to rinse this off pretty quickly too.

The rose, the queen of flowers, is delicate, fragile and endowed with a subtle fragrance. Associated with well-being and sensuality, the rose has been a beauty product for centuries and is renowned for its softening, moisturizing and toning properties.

Recommended for all skin types including sensitive skin,  it contains 3 types of roses
White Rose : soften, soothe and detoxify skin.
Black Rose : soothe, soften and detoxify skin.
Red Rose extract : softening and astringent agent

However, I was soon won over by its effective cleansing power. Its better than an average cleansing water though not on the top on my list. I needed 1.5 cotton pads to effectively cleanse my face make-up gunk (excluding eye make-up) but it doesn't perform well on my eyeliner though it did remove my non waterproof mascara. I suspect it may fail on waterproof mascara test though. In the end, a Q-tip works better to remove my eyeliner.
