Ani Natural Astaxanthin Hyaluronic Acid Micro Essence Solution is formulated with Astaxanthin derived from Haematococcus Pluvialis (a species of freshwater algae) which protects the skin from harmful effects of free radicals and also provides an important layer of defense against sun-related damage. Combined with moisture-boosting Hyaluronic Acid of multiple molecular weights, the product hydrates the layers of the skin to help one achieve healthy and youthful skin.
How To Use :
1) Apply to clean skin every morning and night.

It comes in a long box, with the product well-sealed within an aluminum foil to protect the ingredients. Once opened, you would be surprised that the 20ml essence is housed in a large syringe. How cool is that?
My hubby was laughing when he saw the syringe on my table, asking if I was pretending to be a drug addict.
Despite the large syringe, the contents were just 20ml which took me about 2.5 weeks to deplete, with once/twice daily usage.
Currently I am using it after Purito Centella Unscented Toner and before The Vegan Glow Good Night Cream as the essence doesn't seem to pair well with toners that have a heavier texture.
Initially, there wasn't any difference to the skin but after a week of daily usage, I noticed my face has become more hydrated, plumped and supple.
Do note that this product is best used on damp skin as Hyaluronic Acid will then bind the moisture and hydrate through the layers of your skin. Thereafter, apply moisturizer on top of it.
When used together, an occlusive moisturizer will help lock in the additional hydration from the Hyaluronic Acid, instead of letting it escape and take more of your skin's water along with it

The serum glides on skin well with a slight tacky sensation that takes awhile to sink in. There was a light tingling sensation on first use which is expected, according to Ani Natural. However, I also notice I get the same tingly sensation if I haven't use the product for some time so I can only concur that it does happen for every first use, for the skin to get used to the product.
Interestingly, the box describes it as a toner while the product description states it as a serum. Upon checking with Chloe from Ani Natural, it seems that the product can be used in various ways, however the recommendation is to use it after Ani Natural Astaxanthin Hyaluronic Acid Micro Essence Solution, like a serum. It can also be used in the day but a broad spectrum sunscreen is highly encouraged
Niacinamide Pro is a winner in Beauty Insiders’s Beauty & Wellness Award 2020 so you know it is well-loved by many others too.
After a week of once/twice daily usage, my skin looked brighter and less dull. Great for someone who is battling with dull skin. With once a day usage in the night, I managed to deplete the product in under a month.
