Hydrating gel mask has a 20% complex of Hyaluronic Acid, a potent hydrator that draws in water. Pentavitin® helps provide up to 72 hours of hydration. Enriched with Vitamin E and Aloe to help nourish and soothe the look of dry and dehydrated skin. Caffeine works to help energise and reinvigorate the look of a dull complexion. Skin is left appearing hydrated, healthy and plump with moisture.
I received a box of the rinse-off masks from a good friend who purchased it in Sephora, during Christmas. While I am always happy to receive masks, but unfortunately, products from Peter Thomas Roth didn't were more misses than hits based on past experiences.
I have previously emptied Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Mask which didn't perform up to my expectation but I am hoping that the rest work well.
Packaging, Scent and Texture
The Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Mask Hydrating Gel I owned from the set is a 14ml size but the full retail sizes are available in 50ml and 150ml.
It has a cold, refreshing and minty sensation upon application and lasted well after rinsing off. Great for hot weather or summer climate. The clear blue gel has a subtle scent and glides well.
How To Use :
1) Apply generously onto clean skin, avoiding the eye area.
2) Leave on for a minimum of 3 minutes.
3) Rinse off.
Tip : For an intense and cooling Hyaluronic Acid treatment, use as often as needed.
To help provide up to 72 hours of hydration* with Pentavitin®, use twice daily AM and PM.
Performance and Ingredients
This hydrating gel mask claims to work its magic in just 3 minutes, but even after leaving it on for a full 20-minute session, I didn’t notice any significant improvement to my combination-dehydrated skin—particularly on areas that were flaking post-facial. It left my skin feeling somewhat refreshed but not meaningfully more hydrated or soothed.
The key ingredients are...
20% Hyaluronic Acid Complex: Drenches skin with a liquid cloud of moisture and draws in water.
Pentavitin: Helps provide up to 72 hours of hydration, even after cleansing. (In a 28-day study applying a 1% Pentavitin formulation, skin remained hydrated for 72 hours.)
Vitamin E, Aloe and Caffeine: Help nourish, soothe and energize the look of dry and dehydrated skin.
Water/Aqua/Eau, Glycerin, Polysorbate 20, Carbomer, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Saccharide Isomerate, Sodium PCA, Sodium Hydroxide, Caffeine, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Citric Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Menthol, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract, Sodium Citrate, Menthoxypropanediol, Sodium Phytate, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Ethylhexylglycerin, FD&C Blue No. 1/CI 42090, Phenoxyethanol.
Conclusion
To conclude, while Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Mask Hydrating Gel provides a refreshing minty sensation that may offer a temporary cooling effect ideal for hot climates or calming flushed skin, the mask ultimately fell short in delivering the deep hydration my combination-dehydrated skin needed—especially on post-facial flakiness. If you're seeking a quick pick-me-up or enjoy that lasting cooling feel, this might be worth a try. However, for those looking for intensive moisture or visible skin improvement, this gel mask may not quite hit the mark.
