Product Description
Jowae Purifying Clay Mask is the instant mattifying care product for combination and oily skin. It combines Lumiphenols with sacred lotus and pure clay, known to absorb impurities and excess sebum. It also contains a papaya enyzme with exfoliating properties.
It purifies, unclogs and tightens pores. The skin is clear, balanced and matified. Pores are unclogged and tightened. The complexion is velvety smooth and radiant.
As my skin matured, I began noticing it was more prone to breakouts, especially at the chin area so I decided to incorporate a purifying mask into my routine to help combat congestion, blemishes, and occasional dullness.
And it happened that I chanced upon Jowae Purifying Clay Mask on Robinsons Singapore and there it goes into my cart.

Performance and Ingredients
A good purifying mask helps to
- Deep-cleans pores – Helps draw out dirt, oil, and impurities that your daily cleanser might miss.
- Controls excess sebum – Especially helpful for oily or combination skin types.
- Prevents breakouts – Keeps pores clear and reduces the chances of blackheads and acne.
- Improves skin texture – Leaves your skin feeling smoother and looking more refined.
- Refreshes dull skin – Gives your complexion a detoxed, revitalized glow.
That said, it is better to follow up with a hydrating mask or moisturizer to rebalance the skin after using a purifying one—especially if the formula has clay or charcoal, which can be drying.
Jowae Purifying Clay Mask has a moussy lovely soft texture which applies well on skin but has a subtle sting on nostrils within 3 minutes during the first application. Subsequent usages produced random sting all over the face immediately after application.
And after rinsing off, there are redness around the nose and broken capillaries which proved that this mask can be drying and unsuitable for sensitive skin. That said, it helped to lift up the sebaceous filaments on sides of nose and my skin is left soft and very smooth due to its exfoliating properties.
Hydration is much needed after using clay mask to soothe and hydrate the skin and the same goes for Jowae Purifying Clay Mask
The key ingredients are...
- Antioxidant Lumiphenols- Sacred Lotus : Rich in antioxidants, including polyphenols, tannins, and flavonoids, helping to protect skin from pollution, UV damage, stress, and fatigue.
- Purifying Clay : Deep cleansing, oil absorption, and pore minimization
- Exfoliating Papaya Enzyme : A natural exfoliant that gently removes dead skin cells, revealing brighter, smoother, and more even-toned skin. It's a mild alternative to harsher exfoliants and can help with various skin concerns like acne, hyperpigmentation, and even reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Conclusion
To conclude, Jowae Purifying Clay Mask has a moussy, soft texture that glides on the skin effortlessly. However, it caused a subtle stinging sensation around the nostrils within minutes during the first application, with subsequent uses triggering random stings across the face. After rinsing off, I noticed redness around the nose and visible broken capillaries—signs that this mask may be too drying and potentially unsuitable for sensitive skin.
That said, it effectively lifted sebaceous filaments around the nose and left my skin feeling noticeably softer and smoother thanks to its exfoliating properties. As with most clay masks, a follow-up with a deeply hydrating moisturizer is essential to soothe the skin and restore moisture balance.
