I have been trying to stop myself from hoarding more skincare products for the last few months because my drawer is just filled to the brim.
I am constantly reminding myself and thankfully I have been about 70% successful.
Snapshots of my haul is another way to remind myself that I have about 1000234 products waiting to be used. Alright, I know the number is too exaggerating but you know what I meant, right? *winks*

Here's a mini haul.

Barrier Repair Facial Mask HA $1.95
Adin Collagen Essence Mask $1 ( gifts from a colleague)
Hopscotch Kids Polish Remover $13
Hopscotch Nail Polish for kids $15
Hada Labo Skincare Kit $15.90

A lovely friend managed to snag the Hada Labo kit for me after knowing that I have been searching for it in different Watsons store. I am really looking forward to using it.
My first foray into using "safer" nail polish products and although its for kids but I do not mind.

Cosmetics haul from Adambeauty which took about 11 days to arrive at my doorstep,
Kate Loose Eyeshadow HK$30
Maquillage Nail Color HK$59
Lavshuca Stick Eye Shadow HK$25

Biotherm Aquasource 24hr moisturiser (purchased before my winter trip) I think its around $81
Ecotools 5piece brush set $12.90 (Gmarket)

Adambeauty items are priced in HKD but because I paid by paypal which is in USD, it costs me about $3 to $4 more after conversion but I am still happy to shop for cosmetics when its on sale.

I thought the ecotools at $12.90 was such a steal. It was my first Gmarket purchase and it has been a hassle-free purchase. I used to think that it was such a messy navigation site and refused to go near it but it turned out to be untrue after all. Watsons is selling much higher price than this while Gmarket is selling it at just $14.90 and with a $2 coupon, I only paid $12.90. A happy customer!

Review : Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Wash

Product Description
Hydrates as it cleanses. Helps restore and preserve skin's natural  moisture, leaving it silky smooth. Skin ph-balanced, low irritation. Free of fragrances, mineral oil and colorant.

After all the hype surrounding Hada Labo products, I just have to give it a try, especially since I have an obsession with hydration. Made in Japan, its retailing at $12.90 for a 100ml wash n Watsons and its pretty affordable for the masses. Mine was a 20g cleanser as part of its trial kit retailing for $15.90  I love such trial kits as it gave me a chance to try their products before investing in their original sizes.

If you know me by now, you would have realized that foaming cleansers are not suitable for my sensitive and sometimes dehydrated skin so I was pleasantly surprised that I have no issue with this during my first 2 usages. It foams very well and has an addictive scent which I like.
After each wash it left my skin soft and smooth. Totally unexpected for a foam cleanser so I continued to use it as a night cleanser. Its easy to rinse off and there is no greasy or sticky after-feel. And because it foams well, I just need a pea-sized of the cleanser for the face. A little goes a long way.

However on the 3rd and 4th tries, it started to leave a slight taut feeling on the skin which goes away after a while. Even though its not a big issue but I simply did not like having an taut and dry feeling on the skin as I believed its bad for the skin in long term usage.
Considering that it contains super hyaluronic acid, I was expecting it to be hydrating on the skin but it just doesn't work quite well on my skin after awhile.
But then again, probably its just my skin. You may have better luck with it than me, who knows?

Review : Neutrogena Fair Fairness Deep Whitening Mask

Product Description
All new improved Neutrogena Fine Fairness Deep Whitening Mask immediately brightens skin tone and whitening essence is designed to continuously lighten melanin beneath skin layers all night to give you lasting translucent fairness.
Featuring new 3D Push-in fabric that not only contains more upgraded HealthyWhite Complex but also has a unique 3D stretchable design that fits closely to face to push more essence deep beneath skin layers, providing 3 times more essence for absorption. Even after mask is removed, a reservoir of essence works like an invisible mask beneath the skin layers that continuously lightens skin though the night.

I have reviewed it early last year but the packaging and description seems to have changed slightly and the formula have been improved so I thought I would just do a review again.
Unlike its predecessor, there is an additional packaging as shown above. Ingredients are also reflected on it now.

I bought it for $1.95 and do enjoyed this drugstore brand for its effectivness, ease of usage and affordability.
The material of the mask is stretchable and durable yet thin and comfortable. It fits the face comfortably and is quite pleasant to use. After the 3rd sheet on the 3rd night, I do find my skin appear slightly fairer. My skin feels soft and smooth too. For the record, I am fair by nature and has slight pigmentation on both cheeks.

Review : Elianto Brightening Eye Zone Treatment Patch

Product Description
Spot treatment for eyes zone, brighten, hydrate, improve elasticity. Formulated with pearl extract that helps to lighten dark circle appearance, blotches and uneven skin tone. Witch Hazel extract to reduce dark circle and improve eye puffiness problem.

I picked up this pack of 12 eye masks from Kuala Lumpur last year when it was having a sale. It was my first foray into this brand and I thought it was quite affordable at that time. However, back home in Singapore, I was dismayed to find out that it was manufactured in 2008. Considering that its made in Korea, I had thought that it should be selling the products from the same year as what I have experienced before, in Korea.
Upon reading more about the brand , Elianto is actually a Malaysia brand opened in 2005 in Genting Highlands. Since its manufactured in 2008, I am trying to finish up the masks usage.

The 12 pairs are packed in a clumsy and unhygenic manner, I am not sure what kind of buyer experience it is trying to provide for a customer as all  12 pairs are stacked together with no separate packaging. Perhaps by this way, it can save money for both the manufacturer and consumer as its definitely value for money considering that it contains 12 pairs in 1 pack.

To use it, I need to remove the the first stack of 6 pairs (12 sheets) from the pack and peel off 2 pieces for my eyes usage. Hence it can be quite cumbersome initially but after awhile, I am used to it. It has the typical scent of eye mask from drugstore, nothing pleasant or foul.
Its moist enough to be used for 15 minutes before it started to get dried up so I usually leave it for 15minutes at the maximum. My undereye area looks slightly brighter and less puffy. Its only temporary though so best to use it just before you head out for an important night.

April Quick Review

1) Lilyth Brighter Complexion Toner

Lilyth Brighter Complexion Toner helps lighten the skin and remove pigments with a holistic blend of plant extracts and Hyaluronic acid. Enriched with antioxidants and flower distillates for deeply clean, soothed, refreshed complexion. Regular use may help prevent uneven skin pigmentation on face.

Lilyth Brighter Complexion Toner is for all skin types. It is also recommended for dry skin or sensitive skin. It contains:
Chamomile extract: protect skin mositure
Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract: a strong anti-oxidant and astringents, it helps in tighten your skin

The 2 times usage from the 1 sachet received from Cosme-de may not be enough for me to assess the effectiveness of this product but so far, my sensitive skin have been able to take it well. It seems mild as compared with most other toners in the market but is still able to leave a soothed refreshed complexion. I am happy to know that it contains antioxidants and HA in a toner and I wish most companies can formulate such ingredients in their toner.

2) Biotherm White Detox Cellular Melano-Block Ultra Whitening Serum

Enriched in active ingredients, this serum acts on 5 parameters of a clear and flawless complexion. 1. luminosity of the skin 2. translucency of texture 3. clarity of complexion 4. uniformity of colour 5. dark spots diminution

I chose to use 2 times out of the 3 times from this sachet as it left me with a stinging feeling on the slight pigmentation areas on both cheeks the first time and a small red zit the second time. Both incidents happened on the following morning after application. I believe Biotherm have now replaced this product with another one so its no longer available even if you are keen to try it.

I was never interested in their products as I found their sales tactics abit intimidating. The more they tried to lure me into their store, the more turned-off I am. If a product is good, you do not need such hard-sell tactics, isn't it?

Unfortunately, my brother on his quest to cure his ecezma problems stepped into their store willingly and bought this 25oz salt scrub for $60. Gosh, even though its not my money, my heart hurts for him since he is still a student.

Beside, I do not really believe in using a scrub to treat broken skin, its just too painful. You should be soothing the broken skin instead of using more abrasive methods on it. In the end, it left him with a deeper broken skin with pus oozing out. Ouch.

According to Jericho, the dead sea mineral salts originated from Israel contains 26 minerals which consist of magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium and bromide to provide a 100% natural treatment for a wide variety of health issues.

I am not sure if other buyers do really feel a difference in their skin, but it worsened my brother's ecezma condition and as for myself, I feel that its just a regular body scrub. It has a soothing scent and the greenish-blue colour looks calming. The beads feels alright on my skin, not too rough and leave a moisturising veil after each scrub. It did leave my skin smooth and soft but its also something which other cheaper scrubs can do as well.

Review : Sato Hakubi Q10 Mask

Features
•Rejuvenates skin with soft, whiten and firm look
•Nourishing, soothing, firming
•All skin Types, especially recommended for aging skin lacking elasticity
•Purest Q10 Serum Available
•Stimulates, Repairs And Regenerates

I bought this over the weekend at Nishino Pharmacy as it was selling it for just $1.95 for 2 sheets. I do not know what I was thinking when I first bought this, since I am already aware that the expiry date is mid of next month. I usually do not do such things, buying something that is going to expire but its exactly what I did that day.

Key Ingredients:
•CoenzymeQ10
•Apple extract
•Apple polyphenol
•Hyaluronic acid

2 sheets are what I owned and I used it recently. It has a nice apple flavour which reminded me of my favourite Royal Gala apples. Its not the essence mask as one expected but rather the dry foamy type mask which is not what I like but probably preferred by some ladies who like the non-messiness usage.
Both masks caused me itchiness and left my skin slightly reddish. Thankfully, the redness subsided after a few minutes upon removing the mask. Is this due to the near-expiry date instance or just that my skin is not suitable for me? I did not see any benefits after the treatment too, since I did not had it layered long enough due to the itch.

Ingredients:
Water, glycerin, Sodium Polyacrylate, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Cellulose Gum, Carbomer, Jojoba Oil, Squalane, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ubiquinone, Hyaluronic Acid, Apple Extract, Apple Tannin, Tartaric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Ethanol, Polysorbate 80, Castor Oil, Methylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, fragrance

Review : Bumble and Bumble Damage Therapy Conditioning Creme, Treatment 2

Product Description
Multi-delivery hair and scalp care through the science of skincare. Damage Therapy during your color service and as a part of your daily regimen prevents oxidation that can cause color to fade, counteracts toxins that can compromise the scalp, provides the energy and the amino acids to rebuild protein, and supplements the lipid system that balances moisture. Your hair will be shiny, silky, soft, supple and smooth.

Product Features
-Nutrient-rich formula protects color, rebuilds and strengthens abused or fragile hair
-De-stresses and protects hair from the elements while warding off chemical damage
-One part of a complete restorative cleansing/conditioning regimen
-Strengthens, bolsters, repairs and restores hair that's been damaged, colored, permed, or chemically straightened

Gosh, I must have been way overdue for this cream. The truth is, I have tons of hair products lying around at home, brand new in boxes. I normally do not review products which I used inconsistently and this cream happened to be in this category hence I have been putting off the review for ages.
Well, its just that I do not like to layer too many products in my hair hence when I used a sculpting lotion for my curls, I tend to skip this leave-on conditioner since I already used a conditioner after my shampoo in the bathroom and my sculpting lotion also acts as a hair treatment.

Anyway, I have been back to using this conditioner lately so I thought its time for a review. The tube is almost 80% used up for now, and surprisingly the squeezable tube is not in an unfavourable shape, unlike most hand creams tubes. The white colour tube still looked good, despite months of using it on an on-off basis. I cannot remembered how much I paid for it, since like I said, it was ages ago, but I bought it off beautyticket website, so I reckon its much cheaper than the original retail price.

Frankly speaking, while I do heard of this brand in magazines, it never occurred to me that their products were so expensive. This website was selling it for like US$48. Gosh, do people really pay so much for BB products? Then it must be super duper good, right?

Looking at the long ingredient list, there are several preservatives and fragrances but mainly located at the bottom of the list so I believe that their percentage is not that high. However, surprisingly, it also contains UVA/UVB protection for the hair (Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Benzophenone-4, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane), but I guess thats part of their claims on protecting the colour and warding off chemical damage. By the way, I am still new in reading ingredients so kindly correct me if my interpretation is incorrect. I will study harder next time! :P

Apparently the number 2 on the box meant step 2 in a 4 step treatment for damaged hair, which include shampoo, conditioner, leave-on conditioner and mask. Then again, since this is a leave-on conditioner, shouldn't it be step 3? That kinda confused me.
I only bought this conditioner since it was the only one available on the site for a cheaper price. I do not remember about other products on sale on the web, but then again considering how poor my memory is, since I left school, don't take my word for it. :P

The yellow cream conditioner is non-greasy and is easy to apply but I will still need to spread it evenly throughout the hair, to avoid having a yellow glob on a portion of the hair though. The scent is abit strong but nothing unpleasant.
My damaged hair ends from the yearly perm and colouring job just looks better and healthier, instead of the dead dull locks it always have been. It has not been able to give me shiny and silky locks yet as that takes time on my damaged hair ends. I believe it probably works faster on normal hair but would still require more maintenance on damaged hair like mine.
But for something so expensive, I expect it to work faster. Then again, it probably may be, if I get the whole 4 step treatment.

Review : Skin Food Omija Whitening Mask Sheet

Review for Skin Food Omija Whitening Mask Sheet

Product Description
A set of 2 separate mask sheets that contain a patent-awarded oriental herbal extract and skin-lightening ingredients. This mask can enhance brightening effect by delivering Omija extracts deep into skin for a brighter complexion. Its made of a medicinal herb complex of Omija, White Mulberry Bark and Licorice Root.

A kind friend bought 2 sheets for me during her business trip in Korea last year and indeed I am thankful for that because its way much cheaper and I do not forsee myself visiting Korea for the time being, with my last visit in 2009.

Its quite a mess using this mask though I do quite like the brightening effect it gave me at the end of each treatment. The material and texture of the sheet mask are good, thick and not easily torn. Its over-soaked with milky white essence that it tends to drip when I pulled it out of the packaging. The cutting of the mask is ridiculous, the cut-outs are so small that I wondered who would have such small eyes and mouth.

And because the cut-outs are so small and the mask is so wet, I get the whitening essence over my brows and my eyelashes when I layered on the face. Perhaps it may be better if I laid on bed while doing the mask treatment but usually I don't because I like to multi-task.

And as the cut-out area at the lips are so small, I tasted all the yucky whitening essence. Its gross, literally. I had enough and went ahead to cut a bigger area for my eyes and lips. And since its so wet, it tends to slip after some time too. Once the mask is removed, my face is filled with whitening essence all over and I just need to cleanse it off.

In summary, I found it to be quite a messy affair in using this mask but I am happy at the brightening and glowing effect it gave me plus softer skin thereafter.

Review : A'kin Lavender Body Wash

Product Description
Akin Lavender Body Wash will help you relax and recharge. Enriched with the concentrated nature of certified organic Lavender oil, Akin's natural body wash combines the aromatherapy benefits of Lavender with the purest, non-drying cleansers.

It is a sulfate, paraben and soap free body wash leaving your skin thoroughly cleansed & silky soft.
Lavender has been used since Roman times as a relaxing, neutralising and healing aromatic oil. The name is derived from the latin "lavare" meaning to wash. This pure certified organic lavender is combined with the gentlest and purest skin cleansers to ensure your skin and mind will be refreshed! Pure and gentle for babies, children, the elderly and those with sensitive or fragile skin!

All A'kin products are ingredient-rich, vegan, 100% natural botanical aromatherapy and formulated without animal ingredients or animal testing.

They are free from:
◦parabens
◦mineral oils
◦silicones
◦sulfates
◦synthetic fragrances
◦artificial colours
◦propylene glycol
◦phthalates
◦DEA (MEA, TEA)
◦ethoxylated and petrochemical cleansers

Definitely good stuff for the body, without all the chemical-laden ingredients. I picked this up from Guardian when it was running a promotion together with its shampoo and conditioner. The trio costs me just $37.40, considering that each product costs $19 separately.
It can also be used on babies, that show how gentle the product is.
Other than using it as a body wash, it can doubled up as a bubble bath, washing your delicate lingerie or as a hand wash. Whats not to love about this wonderful body wash?

At 255ml, it used up pretty fast because its pretty fluid so I tend to pour more as its just such a spendid joy to use it for the whole body. It foams well, cleanse well and smells well though the scent does not linger long though. I love this very much and will definitely repurchase if there is a promotion. At $19 each, its just a tad too expensive for me in the long run.

Active Ingredients:
◦Certified Organic Lavender oil
◦Australian cold pressed Macadamia oil
◦Extract of Avocado
◦Vitamin B5

Update 27th Aug 16 :

A good friend has gifted a 500ml size of the A'kin Lavender Body Wash as a Christmas gift last year. However, it seemed that even though the list of ingredients are the same, some ingredients has apparently switched places in the ingredient list.
That and combined with my drier skin nowadays, this body wash does not seem to be suitable for my skin now. It is slightly drying on my skin, leaving some squeaky sensation in its place.

Review : Phyto Phytoprogenium Intelligent Shampoo

Product Description
An advanced shampoo for all hair types. This formula's patented ingredient, Progenium(R) creates a healthy environment for hair growth. Experience the innovative cleanser that masterfully balances the scalp's ecosystem, reducing harmful bacteria so that hair thrives naturally.WITHOUT:- Parabens- Synthetic Dyes- Petrochemicals- Phthalates

Phytoprogenium is formulated with a natural, clarifying base which gently cleanses irritated and sensitive scalps providing fast-acting relief . Hair and scalp is protected with each shampoo, leading the way to healthy, beautiful hair

Active Ingredients
Progénium®: Balances the scalp's ecosystem.
Olive Leaf Extract: Provides antioxidant protection against environmental stresses.
Mallow Extract: Hydrates.
Almond and Oat Milks: Soften.

I bought this from the local Watsons at $1.95 for a 50ml trial size. I have never tried this brand before and thought its a good chance for me to try out the shampoo. The name sounds funny, what does the term "intelligent" have to do with a good shampoo?

Considering that it is formulated with a natural clarifying base, I think its pretty gentle on the hair and scalp as most clarifying shampoos in the market are usually too harsh and drying. It did keep my hair soft and manageable but not exactly as hydrated as I would like. It has a scent which I absolutely dislike though. My dandruff is more manageable too, thanks to this shampoo.

It scored a 3.4 from 7 users on Makeupalley

An almost similar product on Amazon would be Phyto Phytopanama Daily Balancing Shampoo with many positive reviews.

Ingredients
Peg-4 Rapeseedamide (Colza Oil Derivative), Lauryl Glucoside, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract , Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Coco Oil Derivaitve), Xylitol, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Zanthoxylum Alatum Fruit Extract, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Polyquaternium-10 (Wood Cellulose Derivative), Cetearyl Glucoside, Maltodextrin, Glyceryl Stearate Se, Xanthan Gum, Lactitol, Panthenol (Provitamine B5), Phytantriol, Glycerin, Lauryl Pyrrolidone, Sodium Chloride, Polyquaternium-7, Propylene Glycol, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Fragrance / Parfum, Tetrasodium Edta, Phenoxyethanol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Sodium Benzoate, Benzoic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide, Citric Acid.

Review : Rohto Hadalabo Gokujyun Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturising Mask

Hada Labo came onto Singapore shores with a big bang, claiming that their lotion is the number 1 seller in Japan. My interest have been piqued but I was not that keen on its lotion, instead I bought their face mask in Japan. I cannot remembered the price now but I reckon its slightly cheaper.

Hadalabo is a newly mutually-developed brands operated by Rohto (Japan) and Mentholatum (USA), with the concept of 'Perfect & Simple’. They bring you a series of skincare products with the highest purity of ingredients under strict quality control.

HadaLabo GOKUJYUN Mask contains super hyaluronic acid which deeply penetrates into skin, accelerates the absorption of essence, softens skin, and enhances skin’s water-binding ability, leaving skin supple, smooth and radiant.
Touting to be free of unnecessary additives, colorant, fragrance and mineral oil, its also pH balanced with low irritation.

Super hyaluronic acid has twice the moisture retention ability than hyaluronic acid hence its supposed to be even better in hydrating the skin. Made in Japan, I have a high regard for this mask. The sheet material is slightly thinner than expected and contains a slight alcohol scent which caught me by surprise. I thought it was alcohol-free? So maybe I am mistaken?
Its pretty wet but the cut of the mask goes on well onto the skin and I had it for 30minutes before removing it. Even then, its still pretty wet with essence.
Face is quite sticky and if I just washed it off with water, the hydrating ability is not that obvious but if you quickly pat it into the skin, you can feel that the face is smooth and soft.

Surprisingly, the hydrating capability is medicore in my standards because it did not remove the flakiness on my nose. It delivers best on optimal skin condition but thats not why I bought it in the first place, its supposed to hydrate my skin to the maximum but its not.
In Watsons, its retailing for $21.90 for 4 sheets.

Review : Skin Food Coffee Body Scrub

Product Description
Coffee body scrub with natural coffee bean powder, sweet natural honey and sugar ingredients eliminate keratin for a smooth and slim body line.

My mini haul from Korea brings me to this scrub at just $9. Singapore is selling it for $26. *gasps* A triple mark-up. When I first asked a friend to get this for me, I was not aware that its themed under the slimming line of products and used it as a normal body scrub for the whole body.

I love the scent from the first time I used it, the coffee aroma is just so heavenly. However the beads are abit coarse which may be too rough for delicate and sensitive skin. Did my skin feel smoother, I think so, though I think other scrubs fare better than this coffee scrub. Did it make me slimmer?

Initially I used it wet because I thought it was a body scrub. After knowing that its supposed to be used dry on specific targeted area, I tried to use it on my tummy and thighs when my body is dry but found no significant difference.

Note that there is petroleum ingredient in this product which may not be welcomed for some people.

Here are some of the other coffee scrubs which I have tried
- Sukin Energising Body Scrub
- Handmade Heroes Butt Kickin Deep Detoxing Body Scrub
- Isvara Coffee Sugar Body Polish

Or how about some delicious chocolate body scrubs?
- Giovanni Hot Chocolate Sugar Scrub
- 100% Pure Organic Dark Chocolate Mocha Body Scrub

And the winner goes to Giovanni Hot Chocolate Sugar Scrub which is my all time favourite. Read on to find out why...HERE

Review : Biotherm Biosource Skin Perfection Hydra-Perfecting Cleanser

Product Description
Infused with blue micro-beads of vegetable origins to deeply cleanse and purify
Gives 24h hydration for moist-velvet and glowing skin. It is targeted at Asian women with dullness and yellowed skin concerns

I received the 5ml sample from a lovely Biotherm promoter when I bought the moisturiser from the same range, in February. I just wished that more promoters can be like her, giving out complimentary samples for customers to try before committing to the full size.

I had positive experiences after using cleansers with microbeads in them such as Biotherm Hydra Detox Purifying Cleanser and Biotherm Cellular Detoxifying Hydra-Clarifying Cleanser so I was quite keen in using this cleanser.

The latest range from Biotherm, known as Aquasource Skin Perfection is touted to be a high definition perfecting care with 24h moisturising effect.

5,000 litres of spa water + 35 million Aquakeep, with light micro-infusers for intense hydration and crystalline radiance. Each Aquakeep can absorb up to 1,000 times its weight in enriched water, releasing radiance-enhancing natural actives at the heart of the skin.

Armed with this information, I bought my moisturiser and got a free cleanser to try out. I will review the moisturiser at the a date but in the meantime, lets review the cleanser which I received.

The scent is typical of Biotherm products. I am very poor in describing scent so I would just say that its a light subtle scent, nothing too offensive. As you can see from the pictures, the blue coloured beads are microbeads and I do find that it cleanses better than a regular cleanser, clearing some tiny bumps on my face. Its lathers quite well and the foam gets more and more as I massage it on the face. However lathering face cleanser is never welcomed on my sensitive skin because it just meant more irritation and more dehydration.

The first time I used it, I experienced drying effects on my hands almost immediately. There is a squeaky feeling on the face as well. But after cleansing it off with water, I did not feel any taut feeling on the skin anymore.

I used it for the 2nd time on the 3rd day (alternate usage due to dehydration fear), I experienced the same drying effects on my hands and the squeaky feeling on the skin. And thereafter, my face turned abit red and almost warm and there is a subtle taut feeling on the face that would not go away. My skin continued to be warm till I used a hydrating mask.

I decided that this cleanser is certainly not for me. Foaming cleanser just never works for me though I do welcome the exfoliating beads in it.

According to facial exercise guru Carole Maggio, you can smooth away wrinkles, refresh your eyes, sculpt your neck and jawline, and even plump up your pout naturally with her 8 minute facial exercise twice a day and see a difference in 6 days.
Sounds simple? Lets see how it works

Eye Opener : Tones the upper and lower eyelids and reduces under-eye puffiness

METHOD: Place your index fingers together between your brows, then wrap your thumbs lightly around the outer-eye corners, as if you have a pair of sunglasses around your eyes. Squeeze your eyes tightly shut while pulling your two index fingers up slightly between your brows and pulling your thumbs out towards the top of your ears as you do so. Keep your eyes tightly shut — and keep pulling up and out with your fingers so the muscles around your eyes are working continuously against the pressure from your fingers for a count of 40 seconds.

Furrow Smoother : Raises the brow and diminishes hooding of the upper eyelids. Also smoothes out vertical lines between the brows and furrows across the forehead.

METHOD: Spread your fingers across the centre of your forehead. Now pull your fingertips down against your brows as you push your eyebrows up, creating a tension in your forehead muscles. Keep your eyebrows pushed up and fingers pulling down for the count of 30 seconds. Do the Furrow Smoother twice daily. For heavy lines, repeat three times a day. I also suggest sleeping at night with surgical tape over the forehead lines — this allows the muscles to relax while dreaming, and you will quickly see softened lines when you wake up.

Lower Eyelid Lifter : Firms the eye muscles to diminish dark circles and reduce under-eye puffiness.

METHOD: You can do this exercise sitting up or lying down. Place your index fingers lightly at your outer eye corners — where you can still feel the lower lashes. Now make a strong squint up with your lower eyelids. You should be able to feel the outer eye muscles pulse. Look up to the ceiling. Push your face forward and your shoulders back for resistance — you can push your feet into the floor for added resistance. Hold this squint for a count of 40 seconds. Perform the Lower Eyelid Lifter twice a day. However, if you have excessive under-eye puffiness, repeat this exercise three times.

Cheek Energiser : Lifts the facial muscles which give shape to the cheeks — and helps to fill out hollows under the eyes.

METHOD: Place an index finger lightly on the top of each cheek. Now smile with the middle of your upper lip while thinking of the expression ‘Ewww’ (the sound you might make if you had just smelled something revolting) — pulling the top lip flat against your teeth. Keep your upper and lower lips firmly pulling away from each other (use your lips rather than your jaw hinge to do this) and feel your cheeks move under your index fingers. Repeat this smile and release, thinking of the expression ‘Ewww’, 20 times.

Review : Payot Lotion Bleue

Product Description
A soothing and decongesting care for sensitive eyelids. Effectively reduce wrinkles and fine lines. Calms eyes instantly with strong sense of freshness your eyes feel relaxed, smooth and comfortable. Dermatologist tested. Use as weekly care. Apply as a compress to closed eyelids for 10 minutes

As part of my haul ages ago, I have been using this lotion once in several weeks. Quite infrequent, I would say but thats because it doesn't seem to serve any purpose to my eye area concerns. Thats was what I thought initially.

But the more I used it, I realized it did help to decongest and reduce the puffiness slightly, especially after some crying over korean dramas. After each treatment, I can feel that my undereye area become smoother but its just temporary.

It has a scent which is non-smelly but can be too heavy for some people. The light blue lotion works wonderfully as a night eye mask as I usually soak 2 cotton pads and layered over my closed eyelids. Within minutes, I fell asleep. Its that comfortable and relaxing.

However, other than the temporary slight reduced puffiness, I would say it does nothing extraordinary. My slight fine lines are still apparent.

Beside, I am not used to using pads that cover my eyes as I like to multi-task while having a mask on.

Review : Benefit Cosmetics 10

Product Description
Highlight and contour cheekbones in one sexy sweep with this box of satiny pink and bronze powders. They're a perfect 10!Complete with soft, natural-bristle cheek brush. Easy step-by-step contouring lesson included.

I had this for the longest time since I bought it from USA 2 years ago. I used this very often when I first got it but after buying other blushes along the way, I have pushed this to become of those "infrequent" items. I like to use this when I travel or for touch-up (if I have a long day). I do not do alot of touch-up when I am outside as the idea of doing touch-up on a dirty face turns me off.

I like to bring this for travels because its very convenient and portable, compared to other blushes I owned. The box is not the best to have it being tossed around as it gets reopened easily but what I did, is just to put it in a small padded pouch by its own. It must be small and fits the box snugly to prevent it from being pushed around in the available space.

As you guessed it by now, I am not the hardworking kind like other beauty bloggers who brought along their whole make-up stash for travelling. The simpler the better, so I usually skipped the brushes.

But recently, I dropped and broke it. Sad because it had served me well during its lifespan. I am still using it every now and then but I do not think it can survive a long trip overseas. It would just be too messy.

I have always been interested in contouring because I have a round face. *sob* Contouring helps one to have a more defined face shape as it slims down the area below the cheeks with its darker shade. However I am still an amateur in this area and thats when 10 comes in helpfully.

It comes in a tacky cardboard box with a plastic clear tray to hold the brush. Remove the tray and it contains the blush underneath. The brush is great in picking up both powders at the same time and brush it over the cheeks.

The lighter one on the cheeks and the darker shade at the hollow areas under the cheeks. Its very easy to use and is a foolproof way to showcase your defined cheeks. It goes on very sheer so you have to layer a few more times in order to see the desired effect.

The shimmers are there to give one a glowing look but some people may find the shimmers to be abit too much.
